他又說：「現在，你們要迅速派人去告訴大衛：今夜不要在曠野的渡口過夜，一定要過河，免得王和所有隨同他的人都被吞滅。」

宜急遣人告大衛曰、今夜勿宿曠野之津、必濟河、免王與侍從、俱見吞噬、

令其遣使、速告大闢、曰、今夕勿居於野之平原、必速濟河、恐王與侍從、俱見並吞。

今爾速遣人告大衛曰、今夕勿居曠野之平原、當速濟河、恐王與從者遘禍、遘禍或作俱被翦滅

Now send a message at once and tell David,‘ Do not spend the night at the fords in the wilderness; cross over without fail, or the king and all the people with him will be swallowed up.’”

Send a message right away. Tell David,‘ Don’t spend the night in the desert at a place where people cross the Jordan River. Make sure you go on across. If you don’t, you and all the people with you will be swallowed up.’ ”

Now therefore send quickly and tell David,‘ Do not stay tonight at the fords of the wilderness, but by all means pass over, lest the king and all the people who are with him be swallowed up.’”

“ Quick!” he told them.“ Find David and urge him not to stay at the shallows of the Jordan River tonight. He must go across at once into the wilderness beyond. Otherwise he will die and his entire army with him.”

Now then, send a messenger quickly and tell David, saying,‘ Do not spend the night at the river crossing places of the wilderness, but by all means cross over, or else the king and all the people who are with him will be destroyed.’ ”

Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying,‘ Don’t lodge tonight at the fords of the wilderness, but by all means pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people who are with him.’”

Remember, I’ll wait at the fords of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.”

Indeed, we groan while we are in this tent, burdened as we are, because we do not want to be unclothed but clothed, so that mortality may be swallowed up by life.

When this corruptible body is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal body is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

My adversaries trample me all day, for many arrogantly fight against me.

David said to all the servants with him in Jerusalem,“ Get up. We have to flee, or we will not escape from Absalom! Leave quickly, or he will overtake us quickly, heap disaster on us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.”

He reaches down from heaven and saves me, challenging the one who tramples me. Selah God sends his faithful love and truth.

Then Jonathan called to him,“ Hurry up and don’t stop!” Jonathan’s servant picked up the arrow and returned to his master.

I would hurry to my shelter from the raging wind and the storm.”

Don’t give sleep to your eyes or slumber to your eyelids.Escape like a gazelle from a hunter, like a bird from a hunter’s trap.

“ then those in Judea must flee to the mountains.A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house,and a man in the field must not go back to get his coat.

I am one of the peaceful and faithful in Israel, but you’re trying to destroy a city that is like a mother in Israel. Why would you devour the LORD’s inheritance?”Joab protested:“ Never! I would never devour or demolish!

Do not let them say in their hearts,“ Aha! Just what we wanted.” Do not let them say,“ We have swallowed him up!”

After they had gone, Ahimaaz and Jonathan climbed out of the well and went and informed King David. They told him,“ Get up and immediately ford the river, for Ahithophel has given this advice against you.”So David and all the people with him got up and crossed the Jordan. By daybreak, there was no one who had not crossed the Jordan.
