亞希多弗告押沙龍曰、我欲簡兵一萬二千、夤夜以行、追襲大闢、

亞希多弗謂押沙龍曰、我欲選卒一萬二千、今夜起而追大衛、

Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ I would choose twelve thousand men and set out tonight in pursuit of David.

One day Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Here’s what I suggest. Choose 12,000 men. Start out tonight and go after David.

Moreover, Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Let me choose twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue David tonight.

Now Ahithophel urged Absalom,“ Let me choose 12,000 men to start out after David tonight.

Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Let me choose twelve thousand men, and I will set out in pursuit of David tonight.

Furthermore, Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Please let me choose twelve thousand men and let me set out and pursue David tonight.

Moreover Ahithophel said to Absalom,“ Now let me choose twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue David tonight.

In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For thou, Jehovah, alone makest me dwell in safety.

For the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit have they opened against me: They have spoken unto me with a lying tongue.They have compassed me about also with words of hatred, And fought against me without a cause.For my love they are my adversaries: But I give myself unto prayer.

Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their paths.The way of peace they know not; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whosoever goeth therein doth not know peace.

But thou, O Jehovah, art a shield about me; My glory, and the lifter up of my head.I cry unto Jehovah with my voice, And he answereth me out of his holy hill.[ SelahI laid me down and slept; I awaked; for Jehovah sustaineth me.

For they sleep not, except they do evil; And their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.

For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood.
