As King David approached Bahurim, a man from the same clan as Saul’s family came out from there. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and he cursed as he came out.

King David approached Bahurim. As he did, a man came out toward him. The man was from the same family group that Saul was from. His name was Shimei. He was the son of Gera. As he came out of the town, he cursed David.

When King David came to Bahurim, there came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera, and as he came he cursed continually.

As King David came to Bahurim, a man came out of the village cursing them. It was Shimei son of Gera, from the same clan as Saul’s family.

When King David got to Bahurim, a man belonging to the family of the house of Saul was just coming out. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and he was yelling curses as he approached.

When King David came to Bahurim, behold, a man was coming out from there from the family of the house of Saul, and his name was Shimei, the son of Gera; he was coming out, cursing as he came.

And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, there came out thence a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera; he came out, and cursed still as he came.

When King David got to Bahurim, a man belonging to the family of the house of Saul was just coming out. His name was Shimei son of Gera, and he was yelling curses as he approached.

And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name[ was] Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

Then King David reached Bahurim. There a man from Saul’s extended family named Shimei son of Gera came out, yelling curses as he approached.

夫隨其後、且行且哭、偕至巴戶琳、押尼珥謂之曰、歸哉、乃歸、○

有孺子見之、以告押沙龍、二人遂急去、至巴戶琳人家、其院有井、二人下焉、

王遣人召示每至、諭之曰、爾當建室於耶路撒冷居之、勿出而他往、當知爾出濟汲淪溪、其日必死、爾血歸於己首、示每曰、斯言善也、我主我王所命、僕必遵行、於是示每久居耶路撒冷、越三年、其僕二人、遁於迦特王、瑪迦子亞吉所、或告之曰、爾僕在迦特、示每起、備驢、往迦特亞吉所、尋獲其僕、攜之而返、或告所羅門、示每離耶路撒冷、往迦特而返、王遣人召之曰、我非使爾指耶和華而誓、又戒爾云、當知爾出而他往、其日必死乎、爾對曰、我所聞者善也、爾何不守指耶和華所誓、及我戒爾之命乎、又曰、昔爾行於我父大衛之惡、爾心所存、爾悉知之、今耶和華必使爾惡、歸於爾首、惟所羅門王、必蒙錫嘏、大衛之國、在耶和華前、恆久鞏固、王命耶何耶大子比拿雅擊之、遂出而擊斃之、於是國祚、堅定於所羅門手、

謂之曰、爾執杖迎我、我豈犬乎、遂指其神而詛之、

巴戶琳之便雅憫人基拉子示每、急與猶大人偕下、迎大衛王、有便雅憫人一千、與掃羅家僕洗巴、及其子十五人、僕二十人從之、涉約但以迎王、有舟往還濟王眷聚、隨王所欲、王將濟時、基拉子示每伏於王前、曰、我主勿罪我、當我主我王出耶路撒冷時、僕所行悖逆之事、祈勿念之、勿介於懷、僕自知干罪、故今日約瑟家中、我至獨先、以迎我主我王、洗魯雅子亞比篩曰、耶和華之受膏者、示每詛之、可不致之死乎、大衛曰、洗魯雅子、我與爾曹何與、使爾今日敵我、我豈不知今日我為以色列王、詎可在以色列中、致人於死乎、遂語示每曰、爾必不死、加之以誓、○

彼必艱苦飢餓、經歷斯土、飢則煩躁、呪其君王、詛其上帝、

任其呪詛、惟爾祝福、彼興起時、必蒙羞恥、爾僕欣喜兮、

王及從者困憊、至一處養其精力、○

毋於內心詛君王、毋於臥室詛富人、蓋飛鳥必揚爾聲、羽族必述其事也、

無故之詛、如雀之翔、如燕之飛、靡所棲止、

因其不以施恩為念、乃迫窮乏與憂傷者、欲致之死兮、惟好呪詛、而詛臨之、不喜祝福、而福遠之兮、彼以呪詛為衣、呪詛如水入其臟、如油入其骨兮、願呪詛為其蔽體之服、常束之紳兮、

蓋彼迫爾所擊者、道爾所傷者之苦兮、

為我而人詬爾窘爾、妄以諸惡誣爾、爾福矣、宜欣喜歡樂、以爾在天之賞大也、蓋前乎爾之先知、人亦如是窘逐之、○
