So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and he slept with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

於是王出去了，他的全家都跟隨他，但留下十個妃嬪看守宮殿。

耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從你家中興起災禍攻擊你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嬪賜給你身邊的人，他要在光天化日下與你的妃嬪同寢。你在暗中做那事，我卻要在以色列眾人面前，在日光之下做這事。』」

大衛王來到耶路撒冷，進了宮，就把從前留下看守宮殿的十個妃嬪軟禁在冷宮，養活她們，卻不與她們親近。她們被關起來，活着如同寡婦，直到死的日子。

他們的臉色證明自己不正，他們述說自己像所多瑪一樣的罪惡，毫不隱瞞。他們有禍了！因為作惡自害。

摩西和以色列全會眾在會幕門口哭泣的時候，看哪，有一個以色列人，在他們眼前帶着一個米甸女子，到他弟兄那裏。

黃昏的時候，大衛從床上起來，在王宮的平頂上散步。他從平頂上看見一個婦人沐浴，這婦人容貌非常美麗。

他們的結局就是滅亡。他們的神明是自己的肚腹；他們以自己的羞辱為光榮，專以地上的事為念。

因此甘霖停止，春雨不降。你還是一副娼妓之臉，不顧羞恥。

這城所流的血還在城中，血倒在光滑的磐石上，沒有倒在地上，用土掩蓋；

他們行可憎之事，應當羞愧；然而他們卻一點也不覺得羞愧，又不知羞恥。因此，他們必與仆倒的人一樣仆倒；我懲罰他們的時候，他們必跌倒。這是耶和華說的。
