于是王出去了，他的全家都跟随他，但留下十个妃嫔看守宫殿。

耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。你在暗中做那事，我却要在以色列众人面前，在日光之下做这事。’”

大卫王来到耶路撒冷，进了宫，就把从前留下看守宫殿的十个妃嫔软禁在冷宫，养活她们，却不与她们亲近。她们被关起来，活着如同寡妇，直到死的日子。

他们的脸色证明自己不正，他们述说自己像所多玛一样的罪恶，毫不隐瞒。他们有祸了！因为作恶自害。

摩西和以色列全会众在会幕门口哭泣的时候，看哪，有一个以色列人，在他们眼前带着一个米甸女子，到他弟兄那里。

黄昏的时候，大卫从床上起来，在王宫的平顶上散步。他从平顶上看见一个妇人沐浴，这妇人容貌非常美丽。

他们的结局就是灭亡。他们的神明是自己的肚腹；他们以自己的羞辱为光荣，专以地上的事为念。

因此甘霖停止，春雨不降。你还是一副娼妓之脸，不顾羞耻。

这城所流的血还在城中，血倒在光滑的磐石上，没有倒在地上，用土掩盖；

他们行可憎之事，应当羞愧；然而他们却一点也不觉得羞愧，又不知羞耻。因此，他们必与仆倒的人一样仆倒；我惩罚他们的时候，他们必跌倒。这是耶和华说的。
