于是王带着全家的人出去了，但留下十个妃嫔看守宫殿。

耶和华如此说：‘我必从你家中兴起祸患攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给别人，他在日光之下就与她们同寝。你在暗中行这事，我却要在以色列众人面前，日光之下，报应你。’”

大卫王来到耶路撒冷，进了宫殿，就把从前留下看守宫殿的十个妃嫔禁闭在冷宫，养活她们，不与她们亲近。她们如同寡妇被禁，直到死的日子。

他们的面色证明自己的不正；他们述说自己的罪恶，并不隐瞒，好像所多玛一样。他们有祸了！因为作恶自害。

摩西和以色列全会众正在会幕门前哭泣的时候，谁知，有以色列中的一个人，当他们眼前，带着一个米甸女人到他弟兄那里去。

一日，太阳平西，大卫从床上起来，在王宫的平顶上游行，看见一个妇人沐浴，容貌甚美，

他们的结局就是沉沦；他们的神就是自己的肚腹。他们以自己的羞辱为荣耀，专以地上的事为念。

因此甘霖停止，春雨不降。你还是有娼妓之脸，不顾羞耻。

城中所流的血倒在净光的磐石上，不倒在地上，用土掩盖。

他们行可憎的事知道惭愧吗？不然，他们毫不惭愧，也不知羞耻。因此他们必在仆倒的人中仆倒；我向他们讨罪的时候，他们必致跌倒。”这是耶和华说的。
