押沙龍對亞希多弗說：『你們定個計謀、我們該怎樣行才好。』

押沙龍對亞希多弗說：「你們給個建議，我們該怎麼做呢？」

押沙龍謂亞希多弗曰、我儕當若何而行、爾其謀之、

押沙龍謂亞希多弗曰、今日之事、如何處置、爾其斟酌之。

押沙龍謂亞希多弗曰、爾曹計議、當如何以行、

Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give us your advice. What should we do?”

Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give us your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your counsel. What shall we do?”

Then Absalom turned to Ahithophel and asked him,“ What should I do next?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give me your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give advice as to what we should do.”

Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give your counsel what we shall do.

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give me your advice. What should we do?”

Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give us your advice. What should we do?”

There is no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against Yahweh.

Come, let’s deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it happen that when any war breaks out, they also join themselves to our enemies and fight against us, and escape out of the land.”

Being let go, they came to their own company and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said,“ O Lord, you are God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;who by the mouth of your servant, David, said,‘ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take council together, against the Lord, and against his Christ.’“ For truly, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against your holy servant, Jesus, whom you anointed,to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.

Take counsel together, and it will be brought to nothing; speak the word, and it will not stand, for God is with us.”

Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from Yahweh, and whose deeds are in the dark, and who say,“ Who sees us?” and“ Who knows us?”

Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.The Lord will laugh at him, for he sees that his day is coming.

The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against Yahweh, and against his Anointed, saying,
