押沙龍對亞希多弗說：「你們給個建議，我們該怎麼做呢？」

押沙龍謂亞希多弗曰、我儕當若何而行、爾其謀之、

押沙龍謂亞希多弗曰、爾曹計議、當如何以行、

Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give us your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your counsel. What shall we do?”

Then Absalom turned to Ahithophel and asked him,“ What should I do next?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give me your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give advice as to what we should do.”

Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give your counsel what we shall do.

Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give us your advice. What should we do?”

Then Absalom said to Ahithophel,“ Give your counsel what we shall do.”

No wisdom, no understanding, and no counsel will prevail against the Lord.

Let us deal shrewdly with them; otherwise they will multiply further, and if war breaks out, they may join our enemies, fight against us, and leave the country.”

After they were released, they went to their own people and reported everything the chief priests and the elders had said to them.When they heard this, they all raised their voices to God and said,“ Master, You are the One who made the heaven, the earth, and the sea, and everything in them.You said through the Holy Spirit, by the mouth of our father David Your servant: Why did the Gentiles rage and the peoples plot futile things?The kings of the earth took their stand and the rulers assembled together against the Lord and against His Messiah.“ For, in fact, in this city both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, assembled together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed,to do whatever Your hand and Your plan had predestined to take place.

Devise a plan; it will fail. Make a prediction; it will not happen. For God is with us.

Woe to those who go to great lengths to hide their plans from the Lord. They do their works in darkness, and say,“ Who sees us? Who knows us?”

When daybreak came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.

The wicked person schemes against the righteous and gnashes his teeth at him.The Lord laughs at him because He sees that his day is coming.

The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against the Lord and His Anointed One:
