惟爾上帝耶和華愛爾、故不聽巴蘭、乃變詛為祝。

悲痛不勝、望爾俯念、尚其赦予之罪惡兮、

我儕知萬事沓來、無非益諸愛上帝者、即依其旨而見召也、

生我身之父、或暫時任意責我、賦我神之父、乃為我益而責我、使我得與作聖、

上帝聞之、追念素與亞伯拉罕、以撒、雅各所立之約、故眷顧以色列族、特垂念焉。

耶和華曰、我鑒吾民、受苦於埃及、人督其役、上籲於我、惟我聽聞、知其殷憂。我降臨以拯之、脫於埃及人手、導出其境、以詣至腴至廣之地、其地產乳與蜜、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩哩人、比哩洗人、希未人、耶布士人所處者。

為我而受人詬誶窘逐、惡言誹謗者福矣、當欣喜歡樂、以在天爾得賞者大也、蓋人窘逐先知、自昔然矣、○

利亞懷妊生子、命名流便、曰、耶和華俯念我苦、今而後、夫必愛我。再妊生子、命名西面、曰、耶和華聞我不見寵、復賜我此子。

許願曰、萬有之主耶和華、如垂顧婢難、憶我弗忘、賜婢生男、則必使奉事耶和華、至於畢生、薙髮之刀不加於首。

雅各之家、雖遭譴責、不若敵之譴責尤深、雖被殺戮、不若敵之殺戮更慘、
