When David had gone a short distance beyond the summit, there was Ziba, the steward of Mephibosheth, waiting to meet him. He had a string of donkeys saddled and loaded with two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred cakes of raisins, a hundred cakes of figs and a skin of wine.

David went just beyond the top of the Mount of Olives. Ziba was waiting there to meet him. He was Mephibosheth’s manager. He had several donkeys with saddles on them. They were carrying 200 loaves of bread and 100 raisin cakes. They were also carrying 100 fig cakes and a bottle of wine. The bottle was made out of animal skin.

When David had passed a little beyond the summit, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of donkeys saddled, bearing two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred of summer fruits, and a skin of wine.

When David had gone a little beyond the summit of the Mount of Olives, Ziba, the servant of Mephibosheth, was waiting there for him. He had two donkeys loaded with 200 loaves of bread, 100 clusters of raisins, 100 bunches of summer fruit, and a wineskin full of wine.

Now when David had gone on a little beyond the summit, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him with a team of saddled donkeys, and on them were two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred cakes of raisins, a hundred summer fruits, and a jug of wine.

When David was a little past the top of the mountain, there was Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth, who met him with a couple of saddled donkeys, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, one hundred clusters of raisins, one hundred summer fruits, and a skin of wine.

And when David was a little past the top of the ascent, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and a hundred clusters of raisins, and a hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.

When David was a little past the top, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him with a couple of donkeys saddled, and on them two hundred loaves of bread, and one hundred clusters of raisins, and one hundred summer fruits, and a container of wine.

亞比該連忙用驢馱上二百塊餅、兩皮袋酒、五隻宰好了的羊、三十七升烤麥、一百塊葡萄餅和二百塊無花果餅，

大衛來到山頂敬拜上帝的地方，看見亞基人戶篩撕破了衣服，頭蒙灰塵前來迎接他。

大衛蒙著頭，赤著腳登上橄欖山，邊走邊哭，他的隨從也蒙著頭，哭著走上山。

有人就去叫掃羅家一個名叫洗巴的僕人來見大衛，王問他：「你就是洗巴嗎？」他說：「僕人正是洗巴。」王說：「掃羅家中還有什麼人？我要以上帝的慈愛來待他。」洗巴答道：「約拿單還有一個兒子，是雙腳殘廢的。」王說：「他在哪裡？」洗巴答道：「他住在羅·底巴，在亞米利的兒子瑪吉家裡。」於是，大衛王派人去羅·底巴把他從亞米利的兒子瑪吉家裡接來。掃羅的孫子、約拿單的兒子米非波設來到大衛面前，向他俯伏叩拜。大衛說：「米非波設！」米非波設答道：「僕人在這裡。」大衛說：「你不用害怕，我要因為和你父親約拿單的情義而恩待你。我要把你祖父掃羅所有的田地歸還給你，你要常與我同席吃飯。」米非波設再次叩拜，說：「僕人算什麼？不過像一條死狗罷了，你竟這樣眷顧我！」王又把掃羅的僕人洗巴召來，對他說：「我已把掃羅全家的產業都賜給了你主人的孫子米非波設。你和你的兒子及僕人要為米非波設種田，把出產拿來供養他。他還要常常與我同席吃飯。」洗巴有十五個兒子，二十個僕人。洗巴對王說：「僕人必遵行我主我王的一切吩咐。」於是，米非波設像王子一樣常與大衛同席吃飯。米非波設有一個小兒子名叫米迦。洗巴家中的人都做了米非波設的僕人。從此，雙腳殘廢的米非波設就住在耶路撒冷，常常與王同席吃飯。

君王秉公行義，國家安定；他若收受賄賂，國必傾倒。奉承鄰舍，等於設網羅絆他。

至於我，我要留在米斯巴，代表你們與迦勒底人會面。你們要儲備酒、夏天的果子和油，存放在器皿內，在你們所住的城邑生活。」

我真悲慘！就像夏天的果子已被收盡，葡萄已被摘淨，找不到一串可吃的，尋不見我心中渴望的初熟無花果。

一天，耶西對大衛說：「你帶上十公斤烤麥和十個餅，趕快到軍營中送給你的哥哥們。再帶十塊奶餅送給他們的千夫長，看望一下他們，帶個信兒回來。

大衛來到瑪哈念，受到亞捫族拉巴人拿轄的兒子朔比、羅·底巴人亞米利的兒子瑪吉和基列的羅基琳人巴西萊的熱情招待。他們帶來被褥、碗盆、瓦器、小麥、大麥、麵粉、炒麥、豆子、扁豆、蜂蜜、奶油、綿羊和乳酪，送給大衛和跟隨他的人，因為他們想：「眾人在曠野跋涉，一定饑渴疲乏了。」

耶西就把一些餅、一皮袋酒和一隻山羊羔馱在驢背上，讓兒子大衛帶去送給掃羅。

主耶和華讓我看見了異象，我看到一籃夏天的果子。

禮物為人開路，領人晉見權貴。

便從各地回到猶大，去米斯巴見基大利。他們儲備了大量的酒和夏天的果子。

你繼續往前走，會在他泊的橡樹那裡遇見三個人。他們要到伯特利去敬拜上帝，一個牽著三隻山羊羔，一個帶著三個餅，一個拿著一皮袋酒。

他們周圍的人，遠至以薩迦、西布倫和拿弗他利支派的人，都用驢、駱駝、騾子和牛馱來麵餅、無花果餅、葡萄乾、酒和油，又牽來許多牛和羊，以色列境內充滿了歡樂。

那時，巴西萊已經是八十高齡了。王留在瑪哈念的時候，他曾供應王食物，因為他非常富有。
