When David had gone a short distance beyond the summit, there was Ziba, the steward of Mephibosheth, waiting to meet him. He had a string of donkeys saddled and loaded with two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred cakes of raisins, a hundred cakes of figs and a skin of wine.

David went just beyond the top of the Mount of Olives. Ziba was waiting there to meet him. He was Mephibosheth’s manager. He had several donkeys with saddles on them. They were carrying 200 loaves of bread and 100 raisin cakes. They were also carrying 100 fig cakes and a bottle of wine. The bottle was made out of animal skin.

When David had passed a little beyond the summit, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of donkeys saddled, bearing two hundred loaves of bread, a hundred bunches of raisins, a hundred of summer fruits, and a skin of wine.

When David had gone a little beyond the summit of the Mount of Olives, Ziba, the servant of Mephibosheth, was waiting there for him. He had two donkeys loaded with 200 loaves of bread, 100 clusters of raisins, 100 bunches of summer fruit, and a wineskin full of wine.

大卫来到山顶敬拜上帝的地方，看见亚基人户筛撕破了衣服，头蒙灰尘前来迎接他。

大卫蒙着头，赤着脚登上橄榄山，边走边哭，他的随从也蒙着头，哭着走上山。

有人就去叫扫罗家一个名叫洗巴的仆人来见大卫，王问他：“你就是洗巴吗？”他说：“仆人正是洗巴。”王说：“扫罗家中还有什么人？我要以上帝的慈爱来待他。”洗巴答道：“约拿单还有一个儿子，是双脚残废的。”王说：“他在哪里？”洗巴答道：“他住在罗·底巴，在亚米利的儿子玛吉家里。”于是，大卫王派人去罗·底巴把他从亚米利的儿子玛吉家里接来。扫罗的孙子、约拿单的儿子米非波设来到大卫面前，向他俯伏叩拜。大卫说：“米非波设！”米非波设答道：“仆人在这里。”大卫说：“你不用害怕，我要因为和你父亲约拿单的情义而恩待你。我要把你祖父扫罗所有的田地归还给你，你要常与我同席吃饭。”米非波设再次叩拜，说：“仆人算什么？不过像一条死狗罢了，你竟这样眷顾我！”王又把扫罗的仆人洗巴召来，对他说：“我已把扫罗全家的产业都赐给了你主人的孙子米非波设。你和你的儿子及仆人要为米非波设种田，把出产拿来供养他。他还要常常与我同席吃饭。”洗巴有十五个儿子，二十个仆人。洗巴对王说：“仆人必遵行我主我王的一切吩咐。”于是，米非波设像王子一样常与大卫同席吃饭。米非波设有一个小儿子名叫米迦。洗巴家中的人都做了米非波设的仆人。从此，双脚残废的米非波设就住在耶路撒冷，常常与王同席吃饭。

君王秉公行义，国家安定；他若收受贿赂，国必倾倒。奉承邻舍，等于设网罗绊他。

至于我，我要留在米斯巴，代表你们与迦勒底人会面。你们要储备酒、夏天的果子和油，存放在器皿内，在你们所住的城邑生活。”

我真悲惨！就像夏天的果子已被收尽，葡萄已被摘净，找不到一串可吃的，寻不见我心中渴望的初熟无花果。

一天，耶西对大卫说：“你带上十公斤烤麦和十个饼，赶快到军营中送给你的哥哥们。再带十块奶饼送给他们的千夫长，看望一下他们，带个信儿回来。

大卫来到玛哈念，受到亚扪族拉巴人拿辖的儿子朔比、罗·底巴人亚米利的儿子玛吉和基列的罗基琳人巴西莱的热情招待。他们带来被褥、碗盆、瓦器、小麦、大麦、面粉、炒麦、豆子、扁豆、蜂蜜、奶油、绵羊和奶酪，送给大卫和跟随他的人，因为他们想：“众人在旷野跋涉，一定饥渴疲乏了。”

耶西就把一些饼、一皮袋酒和一只山羊羔驮在驴背上，让儿子大卫带去送给扫罗。

主耶和华让我看见了异象，我看到一篮夏天的果子。

礼物为人开路，领人晋见权贵。

便从各地回到犹大，去米斯巴见基大利。他们储备了大量的酒和夏天的果子。

你继续往前走，会在他泊的橡树那里遇见三个人。他们要到伯特利去敬拜上帝，一个牵着三只山羊羔，一个带着三个饼，一个拿着一皮袋酒。

他们周围的人，远至以萨迦、西布伦和拿弗他利支派的人，都用驴、骆驼、骡子和牛驮来面饼、无花果饼、葡萄干、酒和油，又牵来许多牛和羊，以色列境内充满了欢乐。

那时，巴西莱已经是八十高龄了。王留在玛哈念的时候，他曾供应王食物，因为他非常富有。
