押沙龙对约押说：“看哪，我派人去请你来，好托你到王那里去，说：‘我为何从基述回来呢？我仍在那里比较好。’现在让我去见王的面；我若有罪孽，就任凭王杀了我吧。”

你们曾说：“我们已与死亡立约，与阴间结盟，不可挡的鞭子挥过时，必不临到我们；因我们以谎言为避难所，靠虚假来藏身”；

上帝啊，我要向你还所许的愿，我要以感谢祭回报你；
