Now David had been told,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David prayed,“ Lord, turn Ahithophel’s counsel into foolishness.”

David had been told,“ Ahithophel, along with Absalom, is one of the people making secret plans against you.” So David prayed,“ Lord, make Ahithophel’s advice look foolish.”

And it was told David,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said,“ O Lord, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

When someone told David that his adviser Ahithophel was now backing Absalom, David prayed,“ O Lord, let Ahithophel give Absalom foolish advice!”

Then someone reported to David,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.”“ LORD,” David pleaded,“ please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”

Now someone informed David, saying,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said,“ Lord, please make the advice of Ahithophel foolish.”

Then someone told David, saying,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” And David said,“ O Lord, I pray, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”

And one told David, saying, Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Jehovah, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

Then someone reported to David:“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.”“ Lord,” David pleaded,“ please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness!”

And[ one] told David, saying, Ahithophel[ is] among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.

Now David had been told,“ Ahithophel has sided with the conspirators who are with Absalom. So David prayed,“ Make the advice of Ahithophel foolish, O LORD!”

Someone told David, saying,“ Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” David said,“ Yahweh, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”

亞希多弗見其所謀不從、即備驢反故邑、歸私第、處置家事、自縊而死、葬於父墓、○

押沙龍及以色列眾曰、亞基人戶篩之謀、較亞希多弗之謀尤善、蓋耶和華預定敗亞希多弗之謀、以禍押沙龍、○

此智非自上而來、乃屬地與慾與魔也、

我之密友、我之所恃、食我餅者、舉踵敵我兮、

當日亞希多弗所設之謀、如諮諏於上帝、為大衛、為押沙龍、皆如是、

耶和華歟、敵我者何其繁、攻我者眾兮、

在彼具能力、有智慧、受惑與惑人者、皆其所轄、褫謀夫、攜之去、使士師為愚、釋君王之所繫、轉以索繫其腰、褫祭司、攜之去、使強者傾覆、廢忠誠者之才辯、奪年老者之知識、

智者安在、士子安在、斯世之辯者安在、豈非上帝使世之智為愚乎、

瑣安之牧伯愚甚、法老有智之謀士、所謀愚蠢、何謂法老曰、我乃哲人之後、前王之胤耶、爾之智者安在、萬軍之耶和華為埃及所定者、任其知之以告爾、瑣安之牧伯為愚、挪弗之牧伯見惑、埃及支派之屋隅石、引其民於迷途、耶和華以悖戾之意、雜於其中、俾埃及所為乖謬、若醉人哇吐之際、步履蹁躚、埃及首尾、椶枝蘆葦、無一事之可為、○是日也、埃及有如婦女、因萬軍之耶和華揮手其上、恐懼戰慄、猶大國必為埃及所畏、因萬軍耶和華所定之謀、凡聞道及之者、無不惴恐、○是日也、埃及將有五邑言迦南方言、且指萬軍之耶和華而誓、其中一邑、稱曰亡城、或譯日城○是日也、埃及中央必有一壇、以祭耶和華、邊陲必有一柱、以誌耶和華、於埃及地、為萬軍耶和華之兆與證、蓋眾因遭強暴、必呼籲耶和華、彼將遣救者勇者以拯之、是日也、耶和華必見知於埃及、埃及人識耶和華、以祭以禮而事之、許願於耶和華而酬之、耶和華必擊埃及、擊之而復醫之、眾則歸附耶和華、彼必聽其所祈而醫之、○是日也、必有大道、自埃及達亞述、亞述將往埃及、埃及將往亞述、埃及亞述共崇拜焉、○是日也、以色列埃及亞述、並列為三、造福斯世、蓋萬軍之耶和華祝之曰、我民埃及、我手所造之亞述、為我業之以色列、咸蒙福祉、

勿自欺、爾中或於斯世自以為智者、則當為愚以成智、蓋斯世之智、於上帝為愚、記有之、主令智者自中其詭計、又曰、主知智者之意念皆虛、

大衛之謀士亞希多弗、基羅人也、押沙龍獻祭時、遣人召之、自其本邑基羅而來、叛黨勢強、民歸押沙龍者日眾、○

敗狡者之計、俾其所謀不得成、

埃及人心志衰頹、其謀為我所敗、必詢於偶像、與持呪者、巫覡及術士、

以憾恨之言環我、無端攻我兮、

時、十二徒之一、加畧人猶大、詣祭司諸長曰、爾欲予我幾何、我以彼付爾、遂權金三十而予之、

我言非概指爾眾、我所選者我知之、但俾經得驗、食我餅者、舉踵敵我也、

爾曹奚曰、我乃智者、耶和華之法律在於我中、然文士虛偽之筆、使法律為虛偽、智者愧恥、驚惶而被執、彼既棄耶和華之言、其智維何、

素昔和衷共議、偕眾行於上帝室兮、奸惡在其室、在其衷、願死亡倏臨之、生墮陰府兮、
