Then Absalom would say,“ You’ve really got a strong case here! It’s too bad the king doesn’t have anyone to hear it.

押沙龙对他说：“你的事有情有理，无奈王没有委人听你伸诉。”

押沙龙就对他说：“看，你的案件合情合理，无奈王没有委派人听你申诉。”

押沙龙就对他说：“看，你的案件合情合理，无奈王没有委派人听你申诉。”

押沙龙会对他说：“你的申诉合情合理，可惜王没有派人来听你申诉。”

押沙龙就对他说：“你看！你的案件有情有理，但是王并没有委人听你的案子。”

押沙龍對他說：「你的事有情有理，無奈王沒有委人聽你伸訴。」

押沙龍就對他說：「看，你的案件合情合理，無奈王沒有委派人聽你申訴。」

押沙龍就對他說：「看，你的案件合情合理，無奈王沒有委派人聽你申訴。」

押沙龍會對他說：「你的申訴合情合理，可惜王沒有派人來聽你申訴。」

押沙龍就對他說：“你看！你的案件有情有理，但是王並沒有委人聽你的案子。”

押沙龍往往對這種人說：『看哪，你的案件有情有理；無奈王沒有委人聽你伸訴。』

押沙龍就會對他說：「你看，你的請求合情合理，但是王那裡沒有聽你訴說的人。」

押沙龍曰、爾事善且正、然王未嘗委人聽之、

押沙龍曰、爾事善理直、其如王未委人以鞫何。

押沙龍曰、爾言言或作事善且直、無奈王不委人聽爾言、

Then Absalom would say to him,“ Look, your claims are valid and proper, but there is no representative of the king to hear you.”

Absalom would say,“ Look, your claims are based on the law. So you have every right to make them. But the king doesn’t have anyone here who can listen to your case.”

Absalom would say to him,“ See, your claims are good and right, but there is no man designated by the king to hear you.”

Absalom said to him,“ Look, your claims are good and right, but the king does not have anyone to listen to you.”

Then Absalom would say to him,“ See, your claims are good and right, but you have no one to listen to you on the part of the king.”

Then Absalom would say to him,“ Look, your case is good and right; but there is no deputy of the king to hear you.”

And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.

Absalom said to him,“ Look, your claims are good and right, but the king does not have anyone to listen to you.”

And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters[ are] good and right; but[ there is] no man[ deputed] of the king to hear thee.

Absalom would then say to him,“ Look, your claims are legitimate and appropriate. But there is no representative of the king who will listen to you.”

Absalom said to him,“ Behold, your matters are good and right; but there is no man deputized by the king to hear you.”

The eye that mocks a father and despises a mother’s instructions will be plucked out by ravens of the valley and eaten by vultures.

“ Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

So David reigned over all Israel and did what was just and right for all his people.

Isn’t it enough that you brought us out of Egypt, a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us here in this wilderness, and that you now treat us like your subjects?What’s more, you haven’t brought us into another land flowing with milk and honey. You haven’t given us a new homeland with fields and vineyards. Are you trying to fool these men? We will not come.”

“ Anyone who dishonors father or mother must be put to death.

Respect everyone, and love the family of believers. Fear God, and respect the king.

Some people curse their father and do not thank their mother.

Neighbors lie to each other, speaking with flattering lips and deceitful hearts.

“ I’m sorry, brothers. I didn’t realize he was the high priest,” Paul replied,“ for the Scriptures say,‘ You must not speak evil of any of your rulers.’”

The Lord approves of those who are good, but he condemns those who plan wickedness.

Fathers and mothers are treated with contempt. Foreigners are forced to pay for protection. Orphans and widows are wronged and oppressed among you.

He is especially hard on those who follow their own twisted sexual desire, and who despise authority. These people are proud and arrogant, daring even to scoff at supernatural beings without so much as trembling.

For instance, God says,‘ Honor your father and mother,’ and‘ Anyone who speaks disrespectfully of father or mother must be put to death.’

They united against Moses and Aaron and said,“ You have gone too far! The whole community of Israel has been set apart by the Lord, and he is with all of us. What right do you have to act as though you are greater than the rest of the Lord’s people?”

“ The next to come to power will be a despicable man who is not in line for royal succession. He will slip in when least expected and take over the kingdom by flattery and intrigue.
