But suppose he says,‘ I am not pleased with you.’ Then I accept that. Let him do to me what he thinks is best.”

But if he says,‘ I have no pleasure in you,’ behold, here I am, let him do to me what seems good to him.”

But if he is through with me, then let him do what seems best to him.”

However, if he should say,‘ I do not delight in you,’ then here I am— he can do with me whatever pleases him.”

But if He says this:‘ I have no delight in you,’ then here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him.”

But if He says thus:‘ I have no delight in you,’ here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him.”

but if he say thus, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.

However, if He should say,‘ I do not delight in you,’ then here I am— He can do with me whatever pleases Him.”

But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold,[ here am] I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.

However, if he should say,‘ I do not take pleasure in you,’ then he will deal with me in a way that he considers appropriate.”

but if he says,‘ I have no delight in you;’ behold, here I am. Let him do to me as seems good to him.”

So Samuel told him everything, hiding nothing from him. Then Eli said,“ He is the Lord; let him do what is good in his eyes.”

He brought me out into a spacious place; he rescued me because he delighted in me.

If the Lord is pleased with us, he will lead us into that land, a land flowing with milk and honey, and will give it to us.

Is this man Jehoiachin a despised, broken pot, an object no one wants? Why will he and his children be hurled out, cast into a land they do not know?

I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul.

At this, Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worshipand said:“ Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.”

But the Israelites said to the Lord,“ We have sinned. Do with us whatever you think best, but please rescue us now.”

“ Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.

I was silent; I would not open my mouth, for you are the one who has done this.
