王對撒督說：「把神的約櫃抬回城去吧。如果我在耶和華眼前蒙恩，他必讓我回來，再看到約櫃和他的居所。

王謂撒督曰、舁上帝匱返城、若我蒙恩於耶和華前、必使我反、見匱及其居所、

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If the Lord is pleased with me, he’ll bring me back. He’ll let me see the ark again. He’ll also let me see Jerusalem again. That’s the place where he lives.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place.

Then the king instructed Zadok to take the Ark of God back into the city.“ If the Lord sees fit,” David said,“ he will bring me back to see the Ark and the Tabernacle again.

Then the king instructed Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor with the LORD, he will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its dwelling place.

The king said to Zadok,“ Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favor in Yahweh’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation;

“ Therefore you shall prophesy against them all these words, and you shall say to them,‘ The Lord will roar from on high And raise His voice from His holy dwelling; He will roar forcefully against His fold. He will shout like those who tread the grapes, Against all the inhabitants of the earth.

For a day in Your courtyards is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God Than live in the tents of wickedness.

Lord, I love the dwelling of Your house, And the place where Your glory remains.

Send out Your light and Your truth, they shall lead me; They shall bring me to Your holy hill And to Your dwelling places.Then I will go to the altar of God, To God my exceeding joy; And I will praise You on the lyre, God, my God.

In Your faithfulness You have led the people whom You have redeemed; In Your strength You have guided them to Your holy habitation.

How lovely are Your dwelling places, Lord of armies!My soul longed and even yearned for the courtyards of the Lord; My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.The bird also has found a house, And the swallow a nest for herself, where she may put her young: Your altars, Lord of armies, My King and my God.

For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good.

Do not trust in deceptive words, saying,‘ This is the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord.’

As the deer pants for the water brooks, So my soul pants for You, God.My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God?

Now they brought in the ark of the Lord and set it in its place inside the tent which David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the Lord.

I was glad when they said to me,“ Let’s go to the house of the Lord.”

When the people came into the camp, the elders of Israel said,“ Why has the Lord defeated us today before the Philistines? Let’s take the ark of the covenant of the Lord from Shiloh, so that He may come among us and save us from the power of our enemies.”So the people sent men to Shiloh, and from there they carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord of armies who is enthroned above the cherubim; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord was coming into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth resounded.And when the Philistines heard the noise of the shout, they said,“ What does the noise of this great shout in the camp of the Hebrews mean?” Then they understood that the ark of the Lord had come into the camp.So the Philistines were afraid, for they said,“ God has come into the camp!” And they said,“ Woe to us! For nothing like this has happened before.Woe to us! Who will save us from the hand of these mighty gods? These are the gods who struck the Egyptians with all kinds of plagues in the wilderness.Take courage and be men, Philistines, or you will become slaves to the Hebrews, as they have been slaves to you; so be men and fight!”So the Philistines fought and Israel was defeated, and every man fled to his tent; and the defeat was very great, for thirty thousand foot soldiers of Israel fell.Moreover, the ark of God was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, died.

that the king said to Nathan the prophet,“ See now, I live in a house of cedar, but the ark of God remains within the tent.”

Then Hezekiah had said,“ What is the sign that I will go up to the house of the Lord?”

One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord And to meditate in His temple.For on the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; He will hide me in the secret place of His tent; He will lift me up on a rock.

Now then, the sword shall never leave your house, because you have despised Me and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.’This is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

God, You are my God; I shall be watching for You; My soul thirsts for You, my flesh yearns for You, In a dry and exhausted land where there is no water.So have I seen You in the sanctuary, To see Your power and glory.
