王對撒督說：『你將上帝的櫃抬回城去；我若在永恆主眼前蒙恩，他就會使我回來、再見那櫃和他的居所。

王謂撒督曰、舁上帝匱返城、若我蒙恩於耶和華前、必使我反、見匱及其居所、

王謂撒督曰、舁上帝之匱入城、如我蒙恩於耶和華前、則將使我反、見匱亦見聖幕。

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If the Lord is pleased with me, he’ll bring me back. He’ll let me see the ark again. He’ll also let me see Jerusalem again. That’s the place where he lives.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place.

Then the king instructed Zadok to take the Ark of God back into the city.“ If the Lord sees fit,” David said,“ he will bring me back to see the Ark and the Tabernacle again.

Then the king instructed Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor with the LORD, he will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its dwelling place.

And the king said to Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the sight of the Lord, then He will bring me back and show me both it and His habitation.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, He will bring me back and show me both it and His dwelling place.

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favor in the eyes of Jehovah, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:

是的，在你的院宇中一日，好過在別處千日；我寧願在我神的殿中看門，也不願住在惡人的帳篷裡；

耶和華啊，我愛你所住的殿，你榮耀所居之處！

求你發出你的光和真理，願它們引導我，將我帶到你的聖山，帶到你的住所。我就來到神的祭壇，來到神——我最大的喜樂那裡；神哪，我的神，我要用豎琴稱謝你！

萬軍之耶和華啊，你的住所多麼令人愛慕！我的靈魂切慕渴想耶和華的院宇；我的心和我的肉體向永生的神歡呼。萬軍之耶和華，我的王，我的神哪！在你的祭壇那裡，連雀鳥也找到了家，燕子為自己找到了安置幼雛的窩巢。

為了耶和華我們神的殿，我要為你求福份。

神哪，我的靈魂切慕你，如鹿切慕溪水！我的靈魂渴想神，渴想永生的神。我什麼時候能去見神的面呢？

他們把耶和華的約櫃抬來，安放在預備好的地方，在大衛為它支搭的帳篷內，然後大衛在耶和華面前獻上燔祭和平安祭。

我歡喜，因人們對我說：「讓我們到耶和華的殿去吧！」

軍隊回到營地中，以色列的長老們說：「為什麼今天耶和華讓我們敗在非利士人面前呢？我們把耶和華的約櫃從示羅帶到我們這裡吧，讓約櫃來到我們當中，拯救我們脫離仇敵的手！」於是民眾派人去示羅，從那裡把坐在基路伯之上的萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈也跟著神的約櫃來了。當耶和華的約櫃來到營地時，全體以色列人大聲歡呼，那地都震動了。非利士人聽見了歡呼的聲音，就說：「希伯來人營地中有這麼大的歡呼聲是怎麼回事呢？」隨後得知是耶和華的約櫃來到了那營地。非利士人就害怕，說：「有神來到他們營地了！」又說：「我們有禍了！從來沒有這樣的事。我們有禍了！誰能解救我們脫離這大能之神的手呢？這神就是在曠野用各種災害擊打埃及人的那一位。非利士人哪，你們要堅強，要作大丈夫，免得你們服事希伯來人，就像他們曾服事你們一樣。你們要作大丈夫，要戰鬥！」於是非利士人進攻，以色列人被擊敗，各人逃回自己的帳篷。那是一場極大的殺戮，以色列的步兵倒斃了三萬。神的約櫃被奪去，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈也死了。

王對先知拿單說：「你看，如今我住在香柏木的宮殿裡，神的約櫃卻在帳幕裡。」

希西加卻問：「有什麼徵兆來證明我會上耶和華的殿呢？」

有一件事我求過耶和華，這件事我還要求問，就是在我一生所有的日子裡，可以居住在耶和華的殿中，仰望耶和華的恩慈，在他的聖殿中尋求；因為在災禍的日子裡，他必將我藏在他的帳幕中，隱藏在他帳篷的隱祕處，又將我高舉到磐石上；

現在，刀劍必永不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫提人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。』「耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從你家裡興起災禍攻擊你。我將在你眼前把你的妃嬪奪去，交給在你身邊的人，他會在日光之下、在你眼前與你的妃嬪同睡。

神哪，你是我的神，我切切尋求你！在乾旱、疲乏、無水之地，我的靈魂渴想你，我的肉體渴盼你。因此我在聖所中仰望你，為要看見你的能力和榮耀。
