王對撒督說：“把神的約櫃抬回城裡去吧！我若是在耶和華眼前蒙恩，他必使我回來再看到約櫃和他安居的地方。

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, he will bring me back and let me see it and his dwelling place again.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Take the ark of God back into the city. If the Lord is pleased with me, he’ll bring me back. He’ll let me see the ark again. He’ll also let me see Jerusalem again. That’s the place where he lives.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, he will bring me back and let me see both it and his dwelling place.

Then the king instructed Zadok to take the Ark of God back into the city.“ If the Lord sees fit,” David said,“ he will bring me back to see the Ark and the Tabernacle again.

Then the king instructed Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor with the LORD, he will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its dwelling place.

And the king said to Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the sight of the Lord, then He will bring me back and show me both it and His habitation.

Then the king said to Zadok,“ Carry the ark of God back into the city. If I find favor in the eyes of the Lord, He will bring me back and show me both it and His dwelling place.

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favor in the eyes of Jehovah, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation:

Then the king instructed Zadok,“ Return the ark of God to the city. If I find favor in the Lord’s eyes, He will bring me back and allow me to see both it and its dwelling place.

And the king said unto Zadok, Carry back the ark of God into the city: if I shall find favour in the eyes of the LORD, he will bring me again, and shew me[ both] it, and his habitation:

The king said to Zadok,“ Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favor in Yahweh’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it, and his habitation;

在你院子裡住一日，勝過在別處住千日；寧願站在我神殿中的門檻上，也不願住在惡人的帳棚裡。

耶和華啊！我喜愛你住宿的殿，你榮耀居住的地方。

求你發出你的亮光和真理，好引導我，帶我到你的聖山，到你的居所。我就走到神的祭壇前，到神、我極大的喜樂那裡。神啊！我的神啊！我要彈琴稱讚你。

你憑著慈愛，帶領了你買贖的人民；你憑著能力，引導了他們到你的聖所。

萬軍之耶和華啊！你的居所多麼可愛。我的靈渴想切慕耶和華的院子，我的心身向永活的神歡呼。萬軍之耶和華，我的王我的神啊！在你的祭壇那裡，麻雀找到了住處，燕子也為自己找到了安置幼雛的巢。

為了耶和華我們神的殿的緣故，我要為你求福樂。

你們不要倚靠虛謊的話，說：‘這是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿，是耶和華的殿。’

神啊！我的心渴慕你，好像鹿渴慕溪水。我的心渴想神，就是永活的神；我甚麼時候可以來朝見神的面呢？

他們把耶和華的約櫃抬進去，安放在帳棚裡它自己的地方，就是安放在大衛給它支搭的帳棚裡，大衛就在耶和華面前獻上燔祭和平安祭。

人對我說：“我們到耶和華的殿那裡去”，我就歡喜。（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）

軍隊回到營裡，以色列的長老說：“今天耶和華為甚麼在非利士人面前擊敗我們呢？我們要把耶和華的約櫃從示羅抬到我們這裡來。約櫃一到我們中間，就會拯救我們脫離仇敵的手。”於是他們派人到示羅去，從那裡把坐在二基路伯中間萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來；以利的兩個兒子，何弗尼和非尼哈，也與神的約櫃一同來了。耶和華的約櫃來到營中的時候，以色列眾人就大聲歡呼，大地也迴聲響應。非利士人聽見了歡呼的聲音，就問：“在希伯來人的營中為甚麼有這樣大聲的歡呼呢？”後來才知道耶和華的約櫃來到了營中。非利士人就害怕起來，他們說：“有神來到他們的營中了。”又說：“我們有禍了！因為從來沒有這樣的事。我們有禍了！從前在曠野用各樣災禍擊打埃及人的，就是這些神。誰能救我們脫離這些大能之神的手呢？非利士人哪！你們要剛強，要作大丈夫，免得你們作希伯來人的奴僕，好像他們作過你們的奴僕一樣；你們要作大丈夫，作戰吧！”於是非利士人起來作戰，以色列人就被擊敗，各人都往自己的帳棚逃跑。這是一場大屠殺，以色列人中有三萬步兵陣亡。神的約櫃也被搶去，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈也死了。

王對拿單先知說：“你看！我自己住在香柏木的宮裡，耶和華的約櫃卻停在帳幕內。”

希西家問：“我能上耶和華的殿去，有甚麼兆頭呢？”

有一件事我求過耶和華，我還要尋求；我要一生一世住在耶和華的殿裡，瞻仰他的榮美，在他的殿中求問。因為在我遭難的日子，他必把我藏在他的帳棚裡，把我隱藏在他帳幕的隱密處，又把我高舉在磐石上。

所以，從今以後，刀劍必不離開你的家，因為你藐視了我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻子作你的妻子。’耶和華這樣說：‘看哪！我必從你家中興起禍患攻擊你；我要在你的眼前把你的妃嬪拿去賜給你的同伴。他要在光天化日之下與她們同床。

神啊！你是我的神，我要切切尋求你；在乾旱、疲乏、無水之地，我的心，我的身，都渴想你，切慕你。因此，我在聖所中瞻仰你，為要見你的能力和榮耀。
