Zadok was there, too, and all the Levites who were with him were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. They set down the ark of God, and Abiathar offered sacrifices until all the people had finished leaving the city.

Zadok also went with them. Some of the Levites went with him. They were carrying the ark of the covenant of God. They set down the ark. Abiathar offered sacrifices until all the people had left the city.

And Abiathar came up, and behold, Zadok came also with all the Levites, bearing the ark of the covenant of God. And they set down the ark of God until the people had all passed out of the city.

移營之時、亞倫及其子、蓋聖所諸器已畢、哥轄子孫、則前以舁、惟不可捫聖物、免其死亡、此乃哥轄子孫、在會幕之職任、

命舁法匱之祭司、自約但而上、乃命之曰、爾其自約但而上、舁耶和華約匱之祭司、既自約但而上、立足陸地、河水復流原處、漲溢於岸如故、

諭民曰、爾見利未人祭司舁爾上帝耶和華之約匱、則離爾所、從諸其後、

斯地歸於撒督之裔、區別為祭司、供我職事者、昔以色列族迷途時、彼不若利未人之迷罔、

又謂祭司撒督曰、爾非先見乎、爾與爾子亞希瑪斯、及亞比亞他子約拿單、安然歸邑、

民歸營時、以色列長老曰、耶和華今日何擊我於非利士人前、當舁耶和華約匱、自示羅至此、援我於敵手、於是民遣人詣示羅、舁居基路伯間、萬軍之耶和華約匱而至、以利二子、何弗尼非尼哈、與約匱偕、耶和華約匱既入營、以色列眾大聲號呼、地為響應、

時值收穫、約但水溢於岸、舁約匱之祭司至河、足濡於水、自上而下之水、遂立為堆、相離甚遠、在撒拉但旁之亞當邑、其流於亞拉巴鹽海之水悉絕、民乃由耶利哥相對之處而濟、舁耶和華約匱之祭司、穩立燥土、在約但河中、待以色列族盡由陸地、而過約但、

惟祭司撒督、及耶何耶大子比拿雅、先知拿單、示每、利以、暨大衛之勇士、皆弗從之、

其臣如左、撒督子亞撒利亞為祭司、示沙二子、以利何烈亞希亞為繕寫、亞希律子約沙法為史官、耶何耶大子比拿雅為軍長、撒督亞比亞他為祭司、

又告祭司曰、當舁約匱、先民而濟、祭司遂舁約匱、先民而行、

大衛曰、耶和華既簡利未人舁上帝匱、永久奉事之、他人不可舁也、

惟哥轄子孫弗予、因其供聖所之役事、以肩負荷也、

祭司撒督及亞比亞他、非偕爾在彼乎、爾於王室有所聞、當告之、

亞希突生撒督、撒督生亞希瑪斯、亞希瑪斯生亞撒利雅、亞撒利雅生約哈難、約哈難生亞撒利雅、亞撒利雅任祭司職、於所羅門在耶路撒冷所建之室、亞撒利雅生亞瑪利雅、亞瑪利雅生亞希突、亞希突生撒督、撒督生沙龍、

嫩之子約書亞召諸祭司曰、當舁耶和華約匱、祭司七人執七角、行於匱前、

王立耶何耶大子比拿雅、代之為軍長、使祭司撒督、代亞比亞他、

舁耶和華匱者既行六步、大衛獻牛與肥犢各一、
