爾來要無幾時、今我不知何適、安忍使爾從亡、爾仍還都、導爾同儕、願上帝恩寵、真實無妄、恆左右爾。

爾來日無多、我今豈可使爾偕我儕流亡乎、我不知我之何往、原文作我往可往之處不如爾歸、攜爾同鄉人同鄉人原文作兄弟歸、願天主待爾以恩寵誠實、

You came only yesterday. And today shall I make you wander about with us, when I do not know where I am going? Go back, and take your people with you. May the Lord show you kindness and faithfulness.”

You came to join me only a short time ago. So why should I make you wander around with us now? I don’t even know where I’m going. So go on back. Take your people with you. And may the Lord be kind and faithful to you.”

大衛和跟從他的人、約六百名、就起身出了基伊拉，去了他們所能去的地方隨處往來。有人告訴掃羅說大衛從基伊拉逃跑了；掃羅便不出來了。

如今你們既行了這事，願永恆主以堅愛忠信待你們；我也必好待你們。

他們被人用石頭打死，被鋸鋸死，死在兇殺刀下，披着綿羊山羊的皮、各處奔跑，受窮乏，受苦難，受虐待；世界配不上他們：他們在曠野、在山嶺、在洞窘、在地穴、飄流無定。

因為律法是藉着摩西而頒賜；恩典與「真實」乃是藉着耶穌基督而來的。

我的輾轉反側是你數算過的；把我的眼淚裝在你的皮袋裏吧！不是都記在你的冊子上麼？

他們四處流離找食物；若不得飽就嘷。

公義和公平是你寶座的根基；堅愛和忠信來你面前迎着你。

對恪守他的約和他法度的人、永恆主所行的全是堅愛和忠信。

堅固之愛和忠信彼此相遇；義氣和平安興隆彼此接吻。

願主賜憐憫給阿尼色弗一家的人！因為他屢次使我蘇爽，又不以我的鎖鍊為恥。反倒在羅馬時、急切地尋找我，而且找到了。（願主賜他在那日子從主那裏找到憐憫！）在以弗所他怎樣多方作服事的工，你則比我更明白了。

謀壞事的、不是走迷了路麼？謀善事的、必得到忠愛與誠信。

願他永在上帝面前坐着為王；願你派堅愛和忠信來守護他。

他就從天上施恩來拯救我，使蹂躪我、的人蒙羞辱；（細拉）上帝一定施他的堅愛和忠信。

人必流離飄蕩、從這海到那海，從北邊到東邊，跑來跑去、尋求永恆主的話，卻尋不着。
