提哥亚妇人说：“我主我王，愿罪过都落在婢女和婢女家族，一切都与我王和王的王位无关。”

提哥亚妇人又对王说：“我主我王，愿这罪归于我和我父的家；愿王和王的王位与这罪无关。”

提哥亞婦人又對王說：「我主我王，願這罪歸我和我父家，與王和王的位無干。」

提哥亞婦人又對王說：「我主我王，願這罪孽歸我和我的父家，與王和王的位無關。」

提哥亞婦人就對王說：『我主我王，願這罪罰歸我和我父的家，願王和他的王位無罪。』

提克亞的那婦人就對王說：「我主我王，願這罪孽歸於我和我父家！王和你的王權是清白的。」

提哥亞婦曰、我主我王歟、罪歸於我、及我父家、王與國位、均無尤焉、

婦曰、我主我王歟、咎歸於我、及我父之家、爾與爾國、均無尤焉。

提哥亞婦又告王曰、我主我王、罪必歸我及我父之家、與王及王之位無與也、

But the woman from Tekoa said to him,“ Let my lord the king pardon me and my family, and let the king and his throne be without guilt.”

But the woman from Tekoa said to him,“ You are my king and master. Please pardon me and my family. You and your royal family won’t be guilty of doing anything wrong.”

And the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ On me be the guilt, my lord the king, and on my father’s house; let the king and his throne be guiltless.”

“ Oh, thank you, my lord the king,” the woman from Tekoa replied.“ If you are criticized for helping me, let the blame fall on me and on my father’s house, and let the king and his throne be innocent.”

Then the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord the king, may any blame be on me and my father’s family, and may the king and his throne be innocent.”

The woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord, the king, the guilt is on me and my father’s house, but the king and his throne are guiltless.”

And the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My Lord, O king, let the iniquity be on me and on my father’s house, and the king and his throne be guiltless.”

And the woman of Tekoa said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and the king and his throne be guiltless.

Then the woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord the king, may any blame be on me and my father’s house, and may the king and his throne be innocent.”

And the woman of Tekoah said unto the king, My lord, O king, the iniquity[ be] on me, and on my father’s house: and the king and his throne[ be] guiltless.

The Tekoan woman said to the king,“ My lord the king, let any blame fall on me and on the house of my father. But let the king and his throne be innocent!”

The woman of Tekoa said to the king,“ My lord, O king, may the iniquity be on me, and on my father’s house; and may the king and his throne be guiltless.”

She fell at his feet and said:“ Pardon your servant, my lord, and let me speak to you; hear what your servant has to say. (niv)

May the guilt of their blood rest on the head of Joab and his descendants forever. But on David and his descendants, his house and his throne, may there be the Lord’s peace forever.” (niv)

All the people answered,“ His blood is on us and on our children!” (niv)

Later, when David heard about this, he said,“ I and my kingdom are forever innocent before the Lord concerning the blood of Abner son of Ner.May his blood fall on the head of Joab and on his whole family! May Joab’s family never be without someone who has a running sore or leprosy or who leans on a crutch or who falls by the sword or who lacks food.” (niv)

If someone is found slain, lying in a field in the land the Lord your God is giving you to possess, and it is not known who the killer was,your elders and judges shall go out and measure the distance from the body to the neighboring towns.Then the elders of the town nearest the body shall take a heifer that has never been worked and has never worn a yokeand lead it down to a valley that has not been plowed or planted and where there is a flowing stream. There in the valley they are to break the heifer’s neck.The Levitical priests shall step forward, for the Lord your God has chosen them to minister and to pronounce blessings in the name of the Lord and to decide all cases of dispute and assault.Then all the elders of the town nearest the body shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley,and they shall declare:“ Our hands did not shed this blood, nor did our eyes see it done.Accept this atonement for your people Israel, whom you have redeemed, Lord, and do not hold your people guilty of the blood of an innocent person.” Then the bloodshed will be atoned for,and you will have purged from yourselves the guilt of shedding innocent blood, since you have done what is right in the eyes of the Lord. (niv)

His mother said to him,“ My son, let the curse fall on me. Just do what I say; go and get them for me.” (niv)

“‘ Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it. (niv)
