So Absalom said to his servants,“ Go and set fire to Joab’s barley field, the field next to mine.” So they set his field on fire, as Absalom had commanded.

于是押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押有一块田靠近我的田，其中有大麦，你们去放火把它烧了。”押沙龙的仆人就去放火烧了那田。

于是押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押有一块田靠近我的田，其中有大麦，你们去放火把它烧了。”押沙龙的仆人就去放火烧了那田。

押沙龙就吩咐仆人：“你们看，约押的田就在我的田旁边，他种了大麦，你们去放火把它烧了。”押沙龙的仆人便把麦田烧了。

于是押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押的一块田和我相邻，田里有大麦。你们去放火烧田！”押沙龙的仆人就放火把那块田烧了。

於是押沙龍對他的僕人說：「你們看，約押的一塊地在我的地旁邊，那地裡有大麥。你們去放火燒了它！」押沙龍的僕人就放火燒了那塊地。

遂謂僕曰、約押之田、與我接壤、中有麰麥、爾往焚之、僕遂縱火於田、

諭僕從曰、約押田疇與我接壤、田有麰麥、汝往縱火以焚。僕遂焚之。

押沙龍謂僕從曰、爾知近我田有約押之大麥田、爾往縱火焚之、押沙龍之僕、遂縱火焚其田、

Then he said to his servants,“ Look, Joab’s field is next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then Absalom said to his servants,“ Joab’s field is next to mine. He has barley growing there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then he said to his servants,“ See, Joab’s field is next to mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then Absalom said to his servants,“ See, Joab has a field right next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set fire to it!” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Therefore he said to his servants,“ See, Joab’s plot is next to mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the plot on fire.

So he said to his servants,“ See, Joab’s field is near mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire.” And Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab’s field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then Absalom said to his servants,“ See, Joab has a field right next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set fire to it!” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab’s field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

So he said to his servants,“ Look, Joab has a portion of field adjacent to mine and he has some barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set Joab’s portion of the field on fire.

Therefore he said to his servants,“ Behold, Joab’s field is near mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then he went out and caught 300 foxes. He tied their tails together in pairs, and he fastened a torch to each pair of tails.Then he lit the torches and let the foxes run through the grain fields of the Philistines. He burned all their grain to the ground, including the sheaves and the uncut grain. He also destroyed their vineyards and olive groves.

“ Throw her down!” Jehu yelled. So they threw her out the window, and her blood spattered against the wall and on the horses. And Jehu trampled her body under his horses’ hooves.

Jehu responded with a second letter:“ If you are on my side and are going to obey me, bring the heads of your master’s sons to me at Jezreel by this time tomorrow.” Now the seventy sons of the king were being cared for by the leaders of Samaria, where they had been raised since childhood.When the letter arrived, the leaders killed all seventy of the king’s sons. They placed their heads in baskets and presented them to Jehu at Jezreel.

In her letters she commanded:“ Call the citizens together for a time of fasting, and give Naboth a place of honor.And then seat two scoundrels across from him who will accuse him of cursing God and the king. Then take him out and stone him to death.”So the elders and other town leaders followed the instructions Jezebel had written in the letters.They called for a fast and put Naboth at a prominent place before the people.Then the two scoundrels came and sat down across from him. And they accused Naboth before all the people, saying,“ He cursed God and the king.” So he was dragged outside the town and stoned to death.The town leaders then sent word to Jezebel,“ Naboth has been stoned to death.”

Absalom told his men,“ Wait until Amnon gets drunk; then at my signal, kill him! Don’t be afraid. I’m the one who has given the command. Take courage and do it!”So at Absalom’s signal they murdered Amnon. Then the other sons of the king jumped on their mules and fled.
