所以押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押有一块田，与我的田相近，其中有大麦，你们去放火烧了。”押沙龙的仆人就去放火烧了那田。

于是押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押有一块田靠近我的田，其中有大麦，你们去放火把它烧了。”押沙龙的仆人就去放火烧了那田。

于是押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押有一块田靠近我的田，其中有大麦，你们去放火把它烧了。”押沙龙的仆人就去放火烧了那田。

押沙龙就吩咐仆人：“你们看，约押的田就在我的田旁边，他种了大麦，你们去放火把它烧了。”押沙龙的仆人便把麦田烧了。

于是押沙龙对仆人说：“你们看，约押的一块田和我相邻，田里有大麦。你们去放火烧田！”押沙龙的仆人就放火把那块田烧了。

於是押沙龍對他的僕人說：「你們看，約押的一塊地在我的地旁邊，那地裡有大麥。你們去放火燒了它！」押沙龍的僕人就放火燒了那塊地。

遂謂僕曰、約押之田、與我接壤、中有麰麥、爾往焚之、僕遂縱火於田、

諭僕從曰、約押田疇與我接壤、田有麰麥、汝往縱火以焚。僕遂焚之。

押沙龍謂僕從曰、爾知近我田有約押之大麥田、爾往縱火焚之、押沙龍之僕、遂縱火焚其田、

Then he said to his servants,“ Look, Joab’s field is next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then Absalom said to his servants,“ Joab’s field is next to mine. He has barley growing there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then he said to his servants,“ See, Joab’s field is next to mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

So Absalom said to his servants,“ Go and set fire to Joab’s barley field, the field next to mine.” So they set his field on fire, as Absalom had commanded.

Then Absalom said to his servants,“ See, Joab has a field right next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set fire to it!” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Therefore he said to his servants,“ See, Joab’s plot is next to mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the plot on fire.

So he said to his servants,“ See, Joab’s field is near mine, and he has barley there; go and set it on fire.” And Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab’s field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Then Absalom said to his servants,“ See, Joab has a field right next to mine, and he has barley there. Go and set fire to it!” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

Therefore he said unto his servants, See, Joab’s field is near mine, and he hath barley there; go and set it on fire. And Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

So he said to his servants,“ Look, Joab has a portion of field adjacent to mine and he has some barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set Joab’s portion of the field on fire.

Therefore he said to his servants,“ Behold, Joab’s field is near mine, and he has barley there. Go and set it on fire.” So Absalom’s servants set the field on fire.

So he went out and caught three hundred foxes and tied them tail to tail in pairs. He then fastened a torch to every pair of tails,lit the torches and let the foxes loose in the standing grain of the Philistines. He burned up the shocks and standing grain, together with the vineyards and olive groves. (niv)

“ Throw her down!” Jehu said. So they threw her down, and some of her blood spattered the wall and the horses as they trampled her underfoot. (niv)

Then Jehu wrote them a second letter, saying,“ If you are on my side and will obey me, take the heads of your master’s sons and come to me in Jezreel by this time tomorrow.” Now the royal princes, seventy of them, were with the leading men of the city, who were rearing them.When the letter arrived, these men took the princes and slaughtered all seventy of them. They put their heads in baskets and sent them to Jehu in Jezreel. (niv)

In those letters she wrote:“ Proclaim a day of fasting and seat Naboth in a prominent place among the people.But seat two scoundrels opposite him and have them bring charges that he has cursed both God and the king. Then take him out and stone him to death.”So the elders and nobles who lived in Naboth’s city did as Jezebel directed in the letters she had written to them.They proclaimed a fast and seated Naboth in a prominent place among the people.Then two scoundrels came and sat opposite him and brought charges against Naboth before the people, saying,“ Naboth has cursed both God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death.Then they sent word to Jezebel:“ Naboth has been stoned to death.” (niv)

Absalom ordered his men,“ Listen! When Amnon is in high spirits from drinking wine and I say to you,‘ Strike Amnon down,’ then kill him. Don’t be afraid. Haven’t I given you this order? Be strong and brave.”So Absalom’s men did to Amnon what Absalom had ordered. Then all the king’s sons got up, mounted their mules and fled. (niv)
