王的仆人约押如此行，为要挽回这事。我主的智慧却如神使者的智慧，能知世上一切事。”

王的仆人约押做这事，为要扭转局面。我主的智慧却如上帝使者的智慧，能知地上一切的事。”

他这样做是希望扭转局面。我主如上帝的天使一样有智慧，洞悉天下之事。”

王的仆人约押这样作，为要挽回这件事。我主有智慧，像神使者的智慧一样，能知道世上的一切事。”

王的臣僕約押做這事，是為了扭轉局面。我主有智慧，像神使者的智慧那樣，明察地上的一切事。」

爾僕約押為此、欲使事勢變遷、我主聰睿、如上帝之使、洞悉世事、○

此事實緣於爾臣約押、我主我王自具智慧、如上帝之使、天下事無不洞悉。

王之僕約押如是行、欲藉此以諫勸、我主之智慧、如天主使者之智慧、能知天下諸事、

Your servant Joab did this to change the present situation. My lord has wisdom like that of an angel of God— he knows everything that happens in the land.”

He did it to change the way things now are. You are as wise as an angel of God. You know everything that happens in the land.”

In order to change the course of things your servant Joab did this. But my lord has wisdom like the wisdom of the angel of God to know all things that are on the earth.”

He did it to place the matter before you in a different light. But you are as wise as an angel of God, and you understand everything that happens among us!”

Joab your servant has done this to address the issue indirectly, but my lord has wisdom like the wisdom of the angel of God, knowing everything on earth.”

Then your servant said,‘ Please let the word of my lord the king bring rest; for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad. May Yahweh, your God, be with you.’”

He has slandered your servant to my lord the king, but my lord the king is as an angel of God. Therefore do what is good in your eyes.

A lying tongue hates those it hurts; and a flattering mouth works ruin.

As for darkness, where is its place,that you should take it to its bound, that you should discern the paths to its house?Surely you know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great!Have you entered the treasuries of the snow, or have you seen the treasures of the hail,which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?By what way is the lightning distributed, or the east wind scattered on the earth?Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunder storm,to cause it to rain on a land where there is no man, on the wilderness, in which there is no man,to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to grow?Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?Whose womb did the ice come out of? Who has given birth to the gray frost of the sky?The waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen.“ Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?Can you lead the constellations out in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you establish its dominion over the earth?“ Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, That abundance of waters may cover you?Can you send out lightnings, that they may go? Do they report to you,‘ Here we are?’Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the mind?Who can count the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the containers of the sky,when the dust runs into a mass, and the clods of earth stick together?“ Can you hunt the prey for the lioness, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions,when they crouch in their dens, and lie in wait in the thicket?Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?

When David inquired of Yahweh, he said,“ You shall not go up. Circle around behind them, and attack them in front of the mulberry trees.

A man who flatters his neighbor spreads a net for his feet.

for God knows that in the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Please don’t let me respect any man’s person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.For I don’t know how to give flattering titles, or else my Maker would soon take me away.

Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know.
