婢女又想：‘我主我王的话必能使我得安慰，因为我主我王像神的使者一样，能分辨是非。愿耶和华你的神与你同在。’”

婢女又心裏說：「我主我王的話必能使我達到安居之地」；因為上帝的使者怎麼樣，我主我王也怎麼樣：能聽出善惡來：惟願永恆主你的上帝與你同在。』

婢女想：『唯願我主我王的話帶來安慰，因為我主我王明辨是非，就像神的使者那樣。』願耶和華你的神與你同在！」

婢則曰、願我主我王之言慰我、蓋我主我王之辨是非、如上帝之使、願爾上帝耶和華偕爾、

故婢曰、我主我王之言、致我慰藉、我主我王如上帝之使、辨其是非、望耶和華爾之上帝祐爾。

婢亦思我主我王之言、必慰藉我、我主我王如天主之使者、明辨是非、願主爾之天主祐爾、祐爾原文作偕爾

“ And now your servant says,‘ May the word of my lord the king secure my inheritance, for my lord the king is like an angel of God in discerning good and evil. May the Lord your God be with you.’”

And your servant thought,‘ The word of my lord the king will set me at rest,’ for my lord the king is like the angel of God to discern good and evil. The Lord your God be with you!”

Yes, my lord the king will give us peace of mind again.’ I know that you are like an angel of God in discerning good from evil. May the Lord your God be with you.”

Your servant thought: May the word of my lord the king bring relief, for my lord the king is able to discern the good and the bad like the angel of God. May the LORD your God be with you.”

Then your servant said,‘ Please let the word of my lord the king be comforting, for as the angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and evil. And may the Lord your God be with you.’ ”

Your maidservant said,‘ The word of my Lord the king will now be comforting; for as the angel of God, so is my Lord the king in discerning good and evil. And may the Lord your God be with you.’”

Then thy handmaid said, Let, I pray thee, the word of my lord the king be comfortable; for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: and Jehovah thy God be with thee.

Your servant thought: May the word of my lord the king bring relief, for my lord the king is able to discern the good and the bad like the Angel of God. May the Lord your God be with you.”

Then thine handmaid said, The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: for as an angel of God, so[ is] my lord the king to discern good and bad: therefore the LORD thy God will be with thee.

So your servant said,‘ May the word of my lord the king be my security, for my lord the king is like the angel of God when it comes to deciding between right and wrong! May the LORD your God be with you!’”

Then your servant said,‘ Please let the word of my lord the king bring rest; for as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad. May Yahweh, your God, be with you.’”

Achish answered,“ You have been as pleasing to me as an angel of God. But the Philistine commanders have said,‘ We don’t want David to go up with us into battle.’

He has told you lies about me. King David, you are like an angel of God. So do what you wish.

He did it to change the way things now are. You are as wise as an angel of God. You know everything that happens in the land.”

So give me a heart that understands. Then I can rule over your people. I can tell the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Who can possibly rule over this great nation of yours?”

Solid food is for those who are grown up. They have trained themselves to tell the difference between good and evil. That shows they have grown up.

All the Israelites heard about the decision the king had given. That gave them great respect for him. They saw that God had given him wisdom. They knew that Solomon would do what was right and fair when he judged people.

Has my mouth spoken anything that is evil? Do my lips say things that are hateful?”

The person without the Spirit doesn’t accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. These things are foolish to them. They can’t understand them. In fact, such things can’t be understood without the Spirit’s help.The person who has the Spirit can judge all things. But no human being can judge those who have the Spirit. It is written,

Those who only pretend to praise their neighbors are spreading a net to catch them by the feet.

Fire tests silver, and heat tests gold. But people are tested by the praise they receive.
