She replied,“ In that case, let the king invoke the name of the LORD your God so that the avenger of blood may not kill! Then they will not destroy my son!” He replied,“ As surely as the LORD lives, not a single hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”

妇人说：“求王凭你的上帝耶和华起誓，不许报仇者杀人，留我儿一命。”王说：“我凭永活的耶和华起誓，你的儿子必毫发无损。”

妇人说：“愿王记念耶和华你的神，不许报血仇的人多行杀戮，免得他们灭绝我的儿子。”王说：“我指着永活的耶和华起誓，你的儿子连一根头发也不会落在地上。”

她說：「請王提說耶和華你的神為證，不讓追討血債的人增添毀滅，以免他們把我的兒子除滅了。」王說：「我指著耶和華的永生起誓：你兒子連一根頭髮也不會落在地上。」

She said,“ Then let the king invoke the Lord his God to prevent the avenger of blood from adding to the destruction, so that my son will not be destroyed.”“ As surely as the Lord lives,” he said,“ not one hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”

She said,“ Please pray to the Lord your God. Pray that he will keep our nearest male relative from killing my other son. Then my son won’t be destroyed.”“ You can be sure that the Lord lives,” the king said.“ And you can be just as sure that not one hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ Please let the king invoke the Lord your God, that the avenger of blood kill no more, and my son be not destroyed.” He said,“ As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ Please swear to me by the Lord your God that you won’t let anyone take vengeance against my son. I want no more bloodshed.”“ As surely as the Lord lives,” he replied,“ not a hair on your son’s head will be disturbed!”

She replied,“ Please, may the king invoke the LORD your God, so that the avenger of blood will not increase the loss, and they will not eliminate my son!”“ As the LORD lives,” he vowed,“ not a hair of your son will fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ May the king please remember the Lord your God, so that the avenger of blood will not continue to destroy, otherwise they will destroy my son.” And he said,“ As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ Please let the king remember the Lord your God, and do not permit the avenger of blood to destroy anymore, lest they destroy my son.” And he said,“ As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground.”

Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember Jehovah thy God, that the avenger of blood destroy not any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said, As Jehovah liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.

She replied,“ Please, may the king invoke the Lord your God, so that the avenger of blood will not increase the loss, and they will not eliminate my son!”“ As the Lord lives,” he vowed,“ not a hair of your son will fall to the ground.”

Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember the LORD thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said,[ As] the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.

Then she said,“ Please let the king remember Yahweh your God, that the avenger of blood destroy not any more, lest they destroy my son.” He said,“ As Yahweh lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the earth.”

But the army said to Saul,“ Should Jonathan, who won this great victory in Israel, die? May it never be! As surely as the LORD lives, not a single hair of his head will fall to the ground! For it is with the help of God that he has acted today.” So the army rescued Jonathan from death.

The avenger of blood himself must kill the murderer; when he meets him, he must kill him.

Even all the hairs on your head are numbered.

Now this is the law pertaining to one who flees there in order to live, if he has accidentally killed another without hating him at the time of the accident.Suppose he goes with someone else to the forest to cut wood and when he raises the ax to cut the tree, the ax head flies loose from the handle and strikes his fellow worker so hard that he dies. The person responsible may then flee to one of these cities to save himself.Otherwise the blood avenger will chase after the killer in the heat of his anger, eventually overtake him, and kill him, though this is not a capital case since he did not hate him at the time of the accident.Therefore, I am commanding you to set apart for yourselves three cities.If the LORD your God enlarges your borders as he promised your ancestors and gives you all the land he pledged to them,and then you are careful to observe all these commandments I am giving you today( namely, to love the LORD your God and to always walk in his ways), then you must add three more cities to these three.You must not shed innocent blood in your land that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, for that would make you guilty.

or with enmity he strikes him with his hand and he dies, the one who struck him must surely be put to death, for he is a murderer. The avenger of blood must kill the murderer when he meets him.

Solomon said,“ If he is a loyal subject, not a hair of his head will be harmed, but if he is found to be a traitor, he will die.”

Therefore I urge you to take some food, for this is important for your survival. For not one of you will lose a hair from his head.”

But Saul swore an oath to her by the LORD,“ As surely as the LORD lives, you will not incur guilt in this matter!”

Jonathan said to David,“ Go in peace, for the two of us have sworn together in the name of the Lord saying,‘ The Lord will be between me and you and between my descendants and your descendants forever.’”( 21: 1) Then David got up and left, while Jonathan went back to the city.

Anyone who accidentally kills someone can escape there; these cities will be a place of asylum from the avenger of blood.The one who committed manslaughter should escape to one of these cities, stand at the entrance of the city gate, and present his case to the leaders of that city. They should then bring him into the city, give him a place to stay, and let him live there.When the avenger of blood comes after him, they must not hand over to him the one who committed manslaughter, for he accidentally killed his fellow man without premeditation.He must remain in that city until his case is decided by the assembly and the high priest dies. Then the one who committed manslaughter may return home to the city from which he escaped.”

You must be truthful, honest and upright when you take an oath saying,‘ As surely as the LORD lives!’ If you do, the nations will pray to be as blessed by him as you are and will make him the object of their boasting.”

But Abram replied to the king of Sodom,“ I raise my hand to the LORD, the Most High God, Creator of heaven and earth, and vow

and the avenger of blood finds him outside the borders of the town of refuge, and the avenger of blood kills the slayer, he will not be guilty of blood,

If you mistreat my daughters or if you take wives besides my daughters, although no one else is with us, realize that God is witness to your actions.”
