She replied,“ Please, may the king invoke the Lord your God, so that the avenger of blood will not increase the loss, and they will not eliminate my son!”“ As the Lord lives,” he vowed,“ not a hair of your son will fall to the ground.”

妇人说：“求王凭你的上帝耶和华起誓，不许报仇者杀人，留我儿一命。”王说：“我凭永活的耶和华起誓，你的儿子必毫发无损。”

妇人说：“愿王记念耶和华你的神，不许报血仇的人多行杀戮，免得他们灭绝我的儿子。”王说：“我指着永活的耶和华起誓，你的儿子连一根头发也不会落在地上。”

婦人說：“願王記念耶和華你的神，不許報血仇的人多行殺戮，免得他們滅絕我的兒子。”王說：“我指著永活的耶和華起誓，你的兒子連一根頭髮也不會落在地上。”

婦人說：『願王懷念着永恆主你的上帝，不許報血仇的多行殺滅，來除滅我兒子。』王說：『我指着永活的永恆主來起誓，你兒子連一根頭髮也不至於落地。』

她說：「請王提說耶和華你的神為證，不讓追討血債的人增添毀滅，以免他們把我的兒子除滅了。」王說：「我指著耶和華的永生起誓：你兒子連一根頭髮也不會落在地上。」

婦曰、請王念爾上帝耶和華、不許報仇者復加殺害、免滅吾子、曰、我指維生之耶和華而誓、爾子之一髮、不隕於地、

曰、報仇之戚屬、欲加殺害、請王念爾之上帝耶和華、毋許其滅我子。王曰、我指耶和華以誓、汝子之一毫不隕於地。

婦曰、求王念主爾之天主、不許復仇者、更加殺害、恐滅我子、王曰、我指永生主而誓、爾子之一髮、亦不隕於地、

She said,“ Then let the king invoke the Lord his God to prevent the avenger of blood from adding to the destruction, so that my son will not be destroyed.”“ As surely as the Lord lives,” he said,“ not one hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”

She said,“ Please pray to the Lord your God. Pray that he will keep our nearest male relative from killing my other son. Then my son won’t be destroyed.”“ You can be sure that the Lord lives,” the king said.“ And you can be just as sure that not one hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ Please let the king invoke the Lord your God, that the avenger of blood kill no more, and my son be not destroyed.” He said,“ As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ Please swear to me by the Lord your God that you won’t let anyone take vengeance against my son. I want no more bloodshed.”“ As surely as the Lord lives,” he replied,“ not a hair on your son’s head will be disturbed!”

She replied,“ Please, may the king invoke the LORD your God, so that the avenger of blood will not increase the loss, and they will not eliminate my son!”“ As the LORD lives,” he vowed,“ not a hair of your son will fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ May the king please remember the Lord your God, so that the avenger of blood will not continue to destroy, otherwise they will destroy my son.” And he said,“ As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ Please let the king remember the Lord your God, and do not permit the avenger of blood to destroy anymore, lest they destroy my son.” And he said,“ As the Lord lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the ground.”

Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember Jehovah thy God, that the avenger of blood destroy not any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said, As Jehovah liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.

Then said she, I pray thee, let the king remember the LORD thy God, that thou wouldest not suffer the revengers of blood to destroy any more, lest they destroy my son. And he said,[ As] the LORD liveth, there shall not one hair of thy son fall to the earth.

She replied,“ In that case, let the king invoke the name of the LORD your God so that the avenger of blood may not kill! Then they will not destroy my son!” He replied,“ As surely as the LORD lives, not a single hair of your son’s head will fall to the ground.”

Then she said,“ Please let the king remember Yahweh your God, that the avenger of blood destroy not any more, lest they destroy my son.” He said,“ As Yahweh lives, not one hair of your son shall fall to the earth.”

But the people said to Saul,“ Must Jonathan die, who accomplished such a great deliverance for Israel? No, as the Lord lives, not a hair of his head will fall to the ground, for he worked with God’s help today.” So the people redeemed Jonathan, and he did not die.

The avenger of blood himself is to kill the murderer; when he finds him, he is to kill him.

But even the hairs of your head have all been counted.

“ Here is the law concerning a case of someone who kills a person and flees there to save his life, having killed his neighbor accidentally without previously hating him:If he goes into the forest with his neighbor to cut timber, and his hand swings the ax to chop down a tree, but the blade flies off the handle and strikes his neighbor so that he dies, that person may flee to one of these cities and live.Otherwise, the avenger of blood in the heat of his anger might pursue the one who committed manslaughter, overtake him because the distance is great, and strike him dead. Yet he did not deserve to die, since he did not previously hate his neighbor.This is why I am commanding you to set apart three cities for yourselves.If the Lord your God enlarges your territory as He swore to your fathers, and gives you all the land He promised to give them—provided you keep every one of these commands I am giving you today and follow them, loving the Lord your God and walking in His ways at all times— you are to add three more cities to these three.In this way, innocent blood will not be shed, and you will not become guilty of bloodshed in the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

or if in hostility he strikes him with his hand and he dies, the one who struck him must be put to death; he is a murderer. The avenger of blood is to kill the murderer when he finds him.

Then Solomon said,“ If he is a man of character, not a single hair of his will fall to the ground, but if evil is found in him, he dies.”

Therefore I urge you to take some food. For this has to do with your survival, since none of you will lose a hair from your head.”

Then Saul swore to her by the Lord:“ As surely as the Lord lives, nothing bad will happen to you because of this.”

Jonathan then said to David,“ Go in the assurance the two of us pledged in the name of the Lord when we said: The Lord will be a witness between you and me and between my offspring and your offspring forever.” Then David left, and Jonathan went into the city.

so that a person who kills someone unintentionally or accidentally may flee there. These will be your refuge from the avenger of blood.When someone flees to one of these cities, stands at the entrance of the city gate, and states his case before the elders of that city, they are to bring him into the city and give him a place to live among them.And if the avenger of blood pursues him, they must not hand the one who committed manslaughter over to him, for he killed his neighbor accidentally and did not hate him beforehand.He is to stay in that city until he stands trial before the assembly and until the death of the high priest serving at that time. Then the one who committed manslaughter may return home to his own city from which he fled.”

then you can swear,“ As the Lord lives,” in truth, in justice, and in righteousness, then the nations will be blessed by Him and will pride themselves in Him.

But Abram said to the king of Sodom,“ I have raised my hand in an oath to Yahweh, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

and the avenger of blood finds him outside the border of his city of refuge and kills him, the avenger will not be guilty of bloodshed,

If you mistreat my daughters or take other wives, though no one is with us, understand that God will be a witness between you and me.”
