One day Jonadab said to Amnon,“ What’s the trouble? Why should the son of a king look so dejected morning after morning?” So Amnon told him,“ I am in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

他问暗嫩说：“王的儿子啊，为何一天比一天瘦弱呢？请你告诉我。”暗嫩回答说：“我爱我兄弟押沙龙的妹子他玛。”

他对暗嫩说：“王的儿子啊，你何不告诉我，为何你一天比一天憔悴呢？”暗嫩对他说：“我爱上了我兄弟押沙龙的妹妹她玛。”

他对暗嫩说：“王的儿子啊，你何不告诉我，为何你一天比一天憔悴呢？”暗嫩对他说：“我爱上了我兄弟押沙龙的妹妹她玛。”

他问暗嫩：“王子，你为什么一天比一天消沉？能告诉我吗？”暗嫩答道：“我爱上了我兄弟押沙龙的妹妹她玛。”

他问暗嫩说：“王子啊！你为什么一天比一天瘦弱呢？你可以告诉我吗？”暗嫩说：“我爱上了我兄弟押沙龙的妹妹他玛。”

他問暗嫩說：「王的兒子啊，為何一天比一天瘦弱呢？請你告訴我。」暗嫩回答說：「我愛我兄弟押沙龍的妹子她瑪。」

他對暗嫩說：「王的兒子啊，你何不告訴我，為何你一天比一天憔悴呢？」暗嫩對他說：「我愛上了我兄弟押沙龍的妹妹她瑪。」

他對暗嫩說：「王的兒子啊，你何不告訴我，為何你一天比一天憔悴呢？」暗嫩對他說：「我愛上了我兄弟押沙龍的妹妹她瑪。」

他問暗嫩：「王子，你為什麼一天比一天消沉？能告訴我嗎？」暗嫩答道：「我愛上了我兄弟押沙龍的妹妹她瑪。」

他問暗嫩說：“王子啊！你為甚麼一天比一天瘦弱呢？你可以告訴我嗎？”暗嫩說：“我愛上了我兄弟押沙龍的妹妹他瑪。”

他問暗嫩說：『王的兒子啊，你為甚麼這麼瘦弱，一天比一天厲害呢？你能不能告訴我？』暗嫩對他說：『我愛上了我兄弟押沙龍的妹妹他瑪。

他對暗嫩說：「王子啊，你為什麼天天都這樣憔悴呢？你不能告訴我嗎？」暗嫩對他說：「我愛上了我弟弟押沙龍的妹妹塔瑪爾。」

謂暗嫩曰、王子歟、爾日益瘠瘦、曷故、爾不告我乎、暗嫩曰、我愛弟押沙龍之妹他瑪、

暗嫩曰、押沙龍之妹大馬、我所屬意。

問暗嫩曰、王子日益憔悴何故、請以告我、暗嫩曰、我愛弟押沙龍之妹他瑪、

He asked Amnon,“ Why do you, the king’s son, look so haggard morning after morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him,“ I’m in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

He asked Amnon,“ You are the king’s son, aren’t you? So why do you look so worn out every morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon answered,“ I’m in love with Tamar. She’s the sister of my brother Absalom.”

And he said to him,“ O son of the king, why are you so haggard morning after morning? Will you not tell me?” Amnon said to him,“ I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

and he asked Amnon,“ Why are you, the king’s son, so miserable every morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon replied,“ I’m in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

And he said to him,“ Why are you, the king’s son, so depressed morning after morning? Will you not tell me?” So Amnon said to him,“ I am in love with Tamar, the sister of my brother Absalom.”

And he said to him,“ Why are you, the king’s son, becoming thinner day after day? Will you not tell me?” Amnon said to him,“ I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

And he said unto him, Why, O son of the king, art thou thus lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.

and he asked Amnon,“ Why are you, the king’s son, so miserable every morning? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon replied,“ I’m in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

And he said unto him, Why[ art] thou,[ being] the king’s son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.

He asked Amnon,“ Why are you, the king’s son, so depressed every morning? Can’t you tell me?” So Amnon said to him,“ I’m in love with Tamar the sister of my brother Absalom.”

He said to him,“ Why, son of the king, are you so sad from day to day? Won’t you tell me?” Amnon said to him,“ I love Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

Both their hands are equally skilled at doing evil! Officials and judges alike demand bribes. The people with influence get what they want, and together they scheme to twist justice.

“ So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.

The very look on their faces gives them away. They display their sin like the people of Sodom and don’t even try to hide it. They are doomed! They have brought destruction upon themselves.

“ If a man marries his sister, the daughter of either his father or his mother, and they have sexual relations, it is a shameful disgrace. They must be publicly cut off from the community. Since the man has violated his sister, he will be punished for his sin.

“ Do not have sexual relations with your sister or half sister, whether she is your father’s daughter or your mother’s daughter, whether she was born into your household or someone else’s.

Then he added,“ But this is all worth nothing as long as I see Mordecai the Jew just sitting there at the palace gate.”So Haman’s wife, Zeresh, and all his friends suggested,“ Set up a sharpened pole that stands seventy five feet tall, and in the morning ask the king to impale Mordecai on it. When this is done, you can go on your merry way to the banquet with the king.” This pleased Haman, and he ordered the pole set up.

Are they ashamed of these disgusting actions? Not at all— they don’t even know how to blush! Therefore, they will lie among the slaughtered. They will be brought down when I punish them, says the Lord.

“ Are you the king of Israel or not?” Jezebel demanded.“ Get up and eat something, and don’t worry about it. I’ll get you Naboth’s vineyard!”
