王謂押沙龍曰、我子、我儕不必俱往、恐使爾費過奢、押沙龍堅請、王亦不允、乃為之祝福、

“ No, my son,” the king replied.“ All of us should not go; we would only be a burden to you.” Although Absalom urged him, he still refused to go but gave him his blessing.

“ No, my son,” the king replied.“ All of us shouldn’t go. It would be too much trouble for you.” Although Absalom begged him, the king still refused to go. But he gave Absalom his blessing.

But the king said to Absalom,“ No, my son, let us not all go, lest we be burdensome to you.” He pressed him, but he would not go but gave him his blessing.

But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

And Joab fell to the ground on his face, and bowed himself, and thanked the king: and Joab said, To day thy servant knoweth that I have found grace in thy sight, my lord, O king, in that the king hath fulfilled the request of his servant.

And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought[ us], saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide[ there]. And she constrained us.

And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel[ them] to come in, that my house may be filled.

And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD[ be] with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee.

And when the man rose up to depart, his father in law urged him: therefore he lodged there again.And he arose early in the morning on the fifth day to depart: and the damsel’s father said, Comfort thine heart, I pray thee. And they tarried until afternoon, and they did eat both of them.And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel’s father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and tomorrow get you early on your way, that thou mayest go home.But the man would not tarry that night, but he rose up and departed, and came over against Jebus, which[ is] Jerusalem; and[ there were] with him two asses saddled, his concubine also[ was] with him.

And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant’s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat.
