The king replied to Absalom,“ No, my son, we should not all go, or we would be a burden to you.” Although Absalom urged him, he wasn’t willing to go, though he did bless him.

王謂押沙龍曰、我子、我儕不必俱往、恐使爾費過奢、押沙龍堅請、王亦不允、乃為之祝福、

“ No, my son,” the king replied.“ All of us should not go; we would only be a burden to you.” Although Absalom urged him, he still refused to go but gave him his blessing.

But the king said to Absalom,“ No, my son. We shouldn’t all go. We shouldn’t burden you in that way.” Though Absalom pressed him, the king was not willing to go. Instead, David blessed him.

But they urged Him:“ Stay with us, because it’s almost evening, and now the day is almost over.” So He went in to stay with them.

Joab fell with his face to the ground in homage and praised the king.“ Today,” Joab said,“ your servant knows I have found favor with you, my lord the king, because the king has granted the request of your servant.”

After she and her household were baptized, she urged us,“ If you consider me a believer in the Lord, come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.

“ Then the master told the slave,‘ Go out into the highways and lanes and make them come in, so that my house may be filled.

Later, when Boaz arrived from Bethlehem, he said to the harvesters,“ The Lord be with you.”“ The Lord bless you,” they replied.

The man got up to go, but his father-in-law persuaded him, so he stayed and spent the night there again.He got up early in the morning of the fifth day to leave, but the girl’s father said to him,“ Please keep up your strength.” So they waited until late afternoon and the two of them ate.The man got up to go with his concubine and his servant, when his father-in-law, the girl’s father, said to him,“ Look, night is coming. Please spend the night. See, the day is almost over. Spend the night here, enjoy yourself, then you can get up early tomorrow for your journey and go home.”But the man was unwilling to spend the night. He got up, departed, and arrived opposite Jebus( that is, Jerusalem). The man had his two saddled donkeys and his concubine with him.

and said,“ My lords, turn aside to your servant’s house, wash your feet, and spend the night. Then you can get up early and go on your way.”“ No,” they said.“ We would rather spend the night in the square.”But he urged them so strongly that they followed him and went into his house. He prepared a feast and baked unleavened bread for them, and they ate.
