And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

她玛说：“哥哥，不要，不要玷污我！在以色列不应当发生这种事，不要做这种恶事。

他玛对他说：“不要！哥哥！不要污辱我！在以色列中不可作这样的事。你不要作这丑事。

她瑪說：「我哥哥，不要玷辱我。以色列人中不當這樣行，你不要做這醜事；

她瑪對他說：「哥哥，不可以！不要玷辱我！以色列中不可以這樣做，你不要做這醜事！

她瑪對他說：「哥哥，不可以！不要玷辱我！以色列中不可以這樣做，你不要做這醜事！

她瑪說：「哥哥，不要，不要玷污我！在以色列不應當發生這種事，不要做這種惡事。

他瑪對他說：“不要！哥哥！不要污辱我！在以色列中不可作這樣的事。你不要作這醜事。

他瑪說：『哥哥啊，不可！不可玷辱我！在以色列中不可這樣行的；你不可作這癡醜的事。

塔瑪爾對他說：「不，哥哥，不要玷辱我！在以色列絕不可做這樣的事，你不要做這醜惡的事。

曰、我兄不可、毋玷辱我、在以色列中不可行此、毋為此愚妄之事、

曰、兄毋辱我、毋妄行、在以色列族中不可為此、

曰、我兄、不可、勿辱我、以色列中不可如此行、勿行此可恥可恥或作醜惡之事、

“ No, my brother!” she said to him.“ Don’t force me! Such a thing should not be done in Israel! Don’t do this wicked thing.

“ No, my brother!” she said to him.“ Don’t force me! An evil thing like that should never be done in Israel! Don’t do it!

She answered him,“ No, my brother, do not violate me, for such a thing is not done in Israel; do not do this outrageous thing.

“ No, my brother!” she cried.“ Don’t be foolish! Don’t do this to me! Such wicked things aren’t done in Israel.

“ Don’t, my brother!” she cried.“ Don’t disgrace me, for such a thing should never be done in Israel. Don’t commit this outrage!

But she said to him,“ No, my brother, do not violate me, for such a thing is not done in Israel; do not do this disgraceful sin!

But she answered him,“ No, my brother, do not force me, for no such thing should be done in Israel. Do not do this disgraceful thing!

And she answered him, Nay, my brother, do not force me; for no such thing ought to be done in Israel: do not thou this folly.

“ Don’t, my brother!” she cried.“ Don’t humiliate me, for such a thing should never be done in Israel. Don’t do this horrible thing!

But she said to him,“ No, my brother! Don’t humiliate me! This just isn’t done in Israel! Don’t do this foolish thing!

She answered him,“ No, my brother, do not force me! For no such thing ought to be done in Israel. Don’t you do this folly.

And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren,[ nay], I pray you, do not[ so] wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

And if a man shall take his sister, his father’s daughter, or his mother’s daughter, and see her nakedness, and she see his nakedness; it[ is] a wicked thing; and they shall be cut off in the sight of their people: he hath uncovered his sister’s nakedness; he shall bear his iniquity.

And I took my concubine, and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout all the country of the inheritance of Israel: for they have committed lewdness and folly in Israel.

And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard[ it]: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob’s daughter; which thing ought not to be done.
