All these were the sons of David, besides his sons by his concubines. And Tamar was their sister.

Sons were born to David in Hebron: His firstborn was Amnon the son of Ahinoam of Jezreel;his second, Kileab the son of Abigail the widow of Nabal of Carmel; the third, Absalom the son of Maakah daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;

Three sons and a daughter were born to Absalom. His daughter’s name was Tamar, and she became a beautiful woman.

His heart was drawn to Dinah daughter of Jacob; he loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her.

One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,

King Solomon, however, loved many foreign women besides Pharaoh’s daughter— Moabites, Ammonites, Edomites, Sidonians and Hittites.

Jacob was in love with Rachel and said,“ I’ll work for you seven years in return for your younger daughter Rachel.”

Do not lust in your heart after her beauty or let her captivate you with her eyes.

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

So Jacob served seven years to get Rachel, but they seemed like only a few days to him because of his love for her.

So Potiphar left everything he had in Joseph’s care; with Joseph in charge, he did not concern himself with anything except the food he ate. Now Joseph was well- built and handsome,and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said,“ Come to bed with me!”

the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

Then Amnon hated her with intense hatred. In fact, he hated her more than he had loved her. Amnon said to her,“ Get up and get out!”
