押沙龍有三兒一女，女兒名叫她瑪，長得非常美麗。

他戀慕雅各的女兒底娜，就用甜言蜜語討她歡心。

一天黃昏，大衛從床上起來在王宮頂上散步，看見一個長得非常漂亮的女人在沐浴。

除了埃及公主以外，所羅門王還寵愛許多外邦女子，有摩押人、亞捫人、以東人、西頓人和赫人。

雅各愛上了拉結，於是對拉班說：「我願意為你工作七年，請你把拉結許配給我。」

你的心不要貪戀她的美色，也不要被她的媚眼所迷惑，

豔麗是虛假的，美貌是短暫的，唯有敬畏耶和華的女子配得稱讚。

雅各為了拉結給拉班工作了七年。因為他深愛拉結，所以這七年在他眼中就像短短的幾天。

於是，波提乏把一切事都交給約瑟管理，除了自己要吃的食物以外，什麼也不管。約瑟體格健壯，相貌英俊。後來，波提乏的妻子看中了約瑟，向他眉目傳情，要引誘他上床。

上帝的兒子們看見人的女兒漂亮，就隨意選來做妻子。

事後暗嫩非常憎恨她瑪，對她的恨比以前對她的愛還強烈。他對她瑪說：「你起來走吧！」
