Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Why did you turn your back on what I told you to do? You did what is evil in my sight. You made sure that Uriah, the Hittite, would be killed in battle. You took his wife to be your own. You let the men of Ammon kill him with their swords.

Why have you despised the word of the Lord, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

一個人干犯了摩西的律法，憑着兩個或三個見證人的話，就必須死，不能得憐憫。那麼，踐踏上帝兒子的人，將自己所賴以成聖的約的血當做俗污，又褻慢施恩的靈，你們想想，他豈不更嚴重地被判為該受刑麼？

因為占卜的罪乃和悖逆相同；拜家神像的罪愆就等於僭妄。你既棄絕了永恆主吩咐的話，永恆主也棄絕你為王。』

永恆主這麼說：『猶大三番四次地悖逆，我必不收回成命，因為他們棄絕了永恆主的指教，不遵守他的律例；他們的偶像——虛謊——就是他們列祖所隨從的、使他們走迷了路了。

大衛打發使者將婦人接來；那時她的月經剛得潔淨；婦人來到大衛那裏，大衛就和婦人同寢，婦人便回家去。

現在呢、你既藐視了我，娶了赫人烏利亞的妻做你的妻子，刀劍就永不離開你的家。」

到了早晨、大衛寫信給約押，由烏利亞經手送去。信裏寫着說：『要派烏利亞到前面戰事劇烈的地方，你們便退到他後邊，讓他被擊殺而死。』當圍守那城的時候、約押知道哪裏有大力氣的人，便將烏利亞配置在哪裏。城裏的人出來，跟約押交戰；兵眾之中、大衛的僕人中有倒斃的，赫人烏利亞也死了。於是約押打發人把戰事的消息告訴大衛；又吩咐使者說：『你把戰事的消息對王說完了，王的烈怒若發作，而問你說：「你們為甚麼挨近城牆打仗呢？豈不知敵人會從城牆上射箭麼？從前擊死了耶路比設的兒子亞比米勒的是誰呢？豈不是一個婦人從城牆上丟下一塊上磨石來、打在他身上，他就死在提備斯麼？你們為甚麼挨近城牆呢？」那麼你就說：「王的僕人赫人烏利亞也死了。」』使者就走，來見大衛，將約押所差他說的話告訴了大衛；大衛很惱怒約押，就對使者說：『你們為甚麼挨近城交戰呢？豈不知你們會由城牆上的作戰而受傷麼？從前擊死了耶路巴力的兒子亞比米勒的是誰呢？豈不是一個婦人從城牆上丟下一塊上磨石來、打在他身上，他就死在提備斯麼？你們為甚麼挨近城牆呢？』使者對大衛說：『那些人向我們突圍衝殺，出到野地來打我們；我們向他們衝殺過去，直到城門口。射箭的從城牆上射王的僕人；王的僕人之中有死的，王的僕人赫人烏利亞也死了。』王對使者說：『你告訴約押說：「你看了這事不要難受，因為刀劍吞滅這人或那人是沒有一定的；你只管加強戰力攻城，將城翻毁好啦；」你總要使約押的意志剛強。』烏利亞的妻子聽見丈夫烏利亞死了，就為他號咷哀哭。悲哭的日子過了，大衛打發人將她接到宮裏，她就作了大衛的妻子，給大衛生了一個兒子。但是大衛所行的這事、在永恆主看來就是大壞事。

他們若行我所看為壞的事，不聽我的聲音，那麼我就後悔我所說要使他們得益處的福了。

實在的，流你們的血、流你們性命之血的罪，我總要討罰的；我要向各樣走獸討罰：向人的手、向每一個人兄弟的手、討罰那害人性命的罪。『使人流血的、人也必使他流血；因為上帝造人、是按上帝自己的形像造的。

『不可殺人。『不可行姦淫。

我犯罪得罪的乃是你，就只是你，是在你眼前行了這壞事，以致你下判語時顯為公義，你判罰時顯為清正。

火舌怎樣吞滅碎稭，乾草怎樣銷沉於火燄中，他們的根也必怎樣像朽爛之物，他們的花必像飛塵上騰；因為他們棄絕了萬軍之永恆主的指教，藐視了以色列之聖者的訓言。

永恆主啊，你察透了我，你認識我。我坐下、我起來、只有你才曉得；我的意念你從遠處就明白。

你將我們的罪孽擺在你面前，將我們的隱惡擺在你聖容之光輝中。

並在欣嫩子谷將兒女用火燒獻為祭，又算命，又觀兆頭，又行邪術，又行交鬼的事和巫術；多行永恆主所看為壞的事，而惹他發怒。

但那以高傲手段行事的人、無論是本地人、是寄居的、他是褻瀆永恆主的，那人總須從他的族人中被剪除。因為他藐視永恆主的話，違犯永恆主的命令，那人總須被剪除；他的罪罰必歸在他身上。』
