Why did you despise the word of the Lord by doing what is evil in his eyes? You struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and took his wife to be your own. You killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Why did you turn your back on what I told you to do? You did what is evil in my sight. You made sure that Uriah, the Hittite, would be killed in battle. You took his wife to be your own. You let the men of Ammon kill him with their swords.

Why have you despised the word of the Lord, to do what is evil in his sight? You have struck down Uriah the Hittite with the sword and have taken his wife to be your wife and have killed him with the sword of the Ammonites.

Why, then, have you despised the word of the Lord and done this horrible deed? For you have murdered Uriah the Hittite with the sword of the Ammonites and stolen his wife.

人违犯摩西的律法，经两三个人指证后，尚且被毫不留情地处死，更何况人践踏上帝的儿子，轻看那使人圣洁的立约之血，又藐视赐人恩典的圣灵？这等人该受多么重的刑罚啊！

叛逆不亚于行巫术的罪，顽固不化无异于拜偶像。你拒绝耶和华的命令，祂也拒绝你做王。”

耶和华说：“犹大人三番四次地犯罪，我必不收回对他们的惩罚，因为他们厌弃耶和华的训诲，不遵守我的律例。他们祖先祭拜的偶像使他们走入歧途。

大卫差人把她接来，她来了，大卫就与她同寝，那时她的月经刚洁净。事后，她便回家去了。

因为你藐视我，把赫人乌利亚的妻子据为己有，从今以后，杀戮流血的事必永不离开你的家。’

第二天早上，大卫给约押写了一封信，要乌利亚带去。大卫在信上吩咐约押：“你把乌利亚派到前线最险恶的地方，到时其他人都要撤退，好让敌人杀死他。”于是约押围攻城池时，便派乌利亚到最强悍的敌人那里。敌人出来迎战，大卫的军中有几位阵亡，赫人乌利亚也死了。约押就派人去向大卫禀告战争的详情，并叮嘱信使：“你向王禀告战情后，他若发怒责问你，‘为什么还冒死逼近呢？你们难道不知道敌人会从城墙上射箭吗？难道你们不知道耶路·比设的儿子亚比米勒是谁杀的吗？一个妇人从城墙上扔下一块磨石，把他砸死在提备斯。你们为什么还要逼近城墙呢？’你就对王说，‘你的仆人赫人乌利亚也死了。’”于是，信使前来见大卫，照约押的吩咐向大卫禀告。他说：“敌军势力强大，在城外跟我们交战，但我们把他们追到城门口。敌军的弓箭手从城墙上射死了王的几个士兵，赫人乌利亚也死了。”大卫便对信使说：“你去告诉约押不要为这事难过，因为刀剑无情。让他只管竭力攻陷城池。要这样勉励约押。”拔示芭听到丈夫乌利亚的死讯之后就为他守丧。守丧结束后，大卫便派人把她接进宫里，她就做了大卫的妻子，并给他生了个儿子。然而，大卫的所作所为令耶和华十分不悦。

如果他们做我视为恶的事，不听从我的话，我必改变心意，取消我原本要赐给他们的福气。

凡是杀人害命的，无论人或兽，我必向他们追讨血债。凡杀人的，我必追讨他的血债。凡杀害人的，也必被人杀害，因为人是上帝照着自己的形象造的。

“不可杀人。“不可通奸。

我犯罪得罪了你，唯独得罪了你，做了你看为邪恶的事，所以你对我的责备是正当的，你对我的审判是公正的。

他们的根必朽烂，花朵如飞尘飘落，就像火焰吞灭禾秸，烧尽干草，因为他们厌弃以色列之圣者的训诲，藐视万军之耶和华的言语。

耶和华啊，你洞察我的内心，知道我的一切。我或坐下或起来，你都知道，你从远处就知道我的心思意念。

你知道我们的罪恶，对我们隐秘的罪了如指掌。

他还在欣嫩子谷把自己的儿子烧死，献作祭物。他行巫术、占卜、观兆，求问灵媒和巫师。他做了许多耶和华视为恶的事，惹耶和华发怒。

但不管是以色列人还是外族人，若故意妄为，亵渎了耶和华，都要被铲除，因为他藐视耶和华的话，违背耶和华的命令，必须被铲除，罪责自负。”
