臣仆问他说：“你所行的是什么意思？孩子活着的时候，你禁食哭泣；孩子死了，你倒起来吃饭。”

臣仆对他说：“你所做的是什么事呢？孩子活着的时候，你为他禁食哭泣；孩子死了，你却起来吃饭。”

他的臣仆诧异地问他：“我们真不明白，孩子还活着的时候，你禁食、哀哭。孩子死了，你反倒起来进食。”

臣仆问他：“你为什么这样作呢？孩子还活着的时候，你为他禁食哭泣；孩子死了，你倒起来吃饭！”

臣僕們就問他：「你所做的這些是什麼意思呢？孩子活著的時候，你禁食、哭泣；孩子死了，你卻起來吃飯。」

His attendants asked him,“ Why are you acting this way? While the child was alive, you fasted and wept, but now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!”

His attendants asked him,“ Why are you acting like this? While the child was still alive, you wouldn’t eat anything. You cried a lot. But now that the child is dead, you get up and eat!”

Then his servants said to him,“ What is this thing that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive; but when the child died, you arose and ate food.”

His advisers were amazed.“ We don’t understand you,” they told him.“ While the child was still living, you wept and refused to eat. But now that the child is dead, you have stopped your mourning and are eating again.”

His servants asked him,“ Why have you done this? While the baby was alive, you fasted and wept, but when he died, you got up and ate food.”

Then his servants said to him,“ What is this thing that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive; but when the child died, you got up and ate food.”

Then his servants said to him,“ What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child died, you arose and ate food.”

Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

His servants asked him,“ What did you just do? While the baby was alive, you fasted and wept, but when he died, you got up and ate food.”

Then said his servants unto him, What thing[ is] this that thou hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child,[ while it was] alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat bread.

His servants said to him,“ What is this that you have done? While the child was still alive, you fasted and wept. Once the child was dead you got up and ate food!”

Then his servants said to him,“ What is this that you have done? You fasted and wept for the child while he was alive, but when the child was dead, you rose up and ate bread.”

惟屬靈之人、則擬萬事、而己不為人所擬、
