于是约伯起来，撕裂外袍，剃了头，俯伏在地上敬拜，

你洗个澡，抹上香膏，穿上斗篷，就下到禾场去。不过，那个人还没有吃喝完毕，别让他认出你来。

可是你禁食的时候，要梳头洗脸，

他们把耶和华的约柜抬进去，安放在帐棚里它自己的地方，就是安放在大卫给它支搭的帐棚里，大卫就在耶和华面前献上燔祭和平安祭。

人活在世上，因自己的罪受惩罚，为什么发怨言呢？我们要检讨和省察自己的行为，然后归向耶和华。我们要向天上的神，诚心举手祷告：

因为是你作了这事，我就静默不开口。

可是约伯对她说：“你说话像个愚妄的女人。难道我们从神得福，也不应当受祸吗？”在这一切事上，约伯并没有用口犯罪。

你当经常穿着白色的衣袍，头上也不要缺少膏油。

于是，大卫王进去，坐在耶和华面前，说：“主耶和华啊！我是谁，我的家又算什么，你竟带领我到这地步？
