世人因自己的罪受罰，又何必怨天尤人呢？我們要省察自己的行為，重新歸向耶和華。讓我們舉起雙手，誠心向天上的上帝禱告說：

我默然不語，一言不發，因為我受的責罰是出於你。

但約伯回答說：「你說話像個愚昧的婦人。難道我們只從上帝手裡接受祝福，卻不接受災殃嗎？」約伯遭此不幸，仍毫無怨言。

你的衣服要經常保持潔白，頭上也不要缺少膏油。

於是，大衛王走進會幕，在耶和華面前坐下，說：「主耶和華啊，我是誰？我的家算什麼？你竟如此厚待我。
