But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die.”

只是你行这事，叫耶和华的仇敌大得亵渎的机会，故此，你所得的孩子必定要死。”

只是在这事上，你大大藐视耶和华，因此，你生的孩子必定要死。”

但你做的丑事给了仇敌亵渎耶和华的机会，所以你这个孩子必定死。”

只是因为你作了这事，使耶和华的仇敌大得亵渎的机会，所以你所生的儿子必定死。”

只是你行這事，叫耶和華的仇敵大得褻瀆的機會，故此，你所得的孩子必定要死。」

只是在這事上，你大大藐視耶和華，因此，你生的孩子必定要死。」

然爾行此、使耶和華之敵得毀謗之由、故爾所生之子必死、

爾之作為若此、使逆耶和華之人愈生厭惡、故爾所得之子必死。

然爾之為此、使主之敵得毀謗之由、故爾所得之子必死、

But you have dared to show great disrespect for the Lord. So the son who has been born to you will die.”

Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the Lord, the child who is born to you shall die.”

Nevertheless, because you have shown utter contempt for the word of the Lord by doing this, your child will die.”

However, because you treated the LORD with such contempt in this matter, the son born to you will die.”

However, since by this deed you have shown utter disrespect for the Lord, the child himself who is born to you shall certainly die.”

However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of Jehovah to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

However, because you treated the Lord with such contempt in this matter, the son born to you will die.”

However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to Yahweh’s enemies to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you will surely die.”

“ And now what do I have here?” declares the Lord.“ For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock,” declares the Lord.“ And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed.

As it is written:“ God’s name is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”

And wherever they went among the nations they profaned my holy name, for it was said of them,‘ These are the Lord’s people, and yet they had to leave his land.’I had concern for my holy name, which the people of Israel profaned among the nations where they had gone.“ Therefore say to the Israelites,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: It is not for your sake, people of Israel, that I am going to do these things, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.I will show the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, the name you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Sovereign Lord, when I am proved holy through you before their eyes.

Woe to the world because of the things that cause people to stumble! Such things must come, but woe to the person through whom they come!

Blessed is the one you discipline, Lord, the one you teach from your law;

My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline, and do not resent his rebuke,because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.

Nevertheless, when we are judged in this way by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be finally condemned with the world.

So I continued,“ What you are doing is not right. Shouldn’t you walk in the fear of our God to avoid the reproach of our Gentile enemies?

How long will the enemy mock you, God? Will the foe revile your name forever?

“ You only have I chosen of all the families of the earth; therefore I will punish you for all your sins.”

Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.

if they violate my decrees and fail to keep my commands,I will punish their sin with the rod, their iniquity with flogging;but I will not take my love from him, nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.

because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
