只是你行这事，叫耶和华的仇敌大得亵渎的机会，故此，你所得的孩子必定要死。”

只是你行這事，叫耶和華的仇敵大得褻瀆的機會，故此，你所得的孩子必定要死。」

只是在這事上，你大大藐視耶和華，因此，你生的孩子必定要死。」

不過你行這事大大地褻慢了永恆主；故此你所得的這孩子也必定死。』

然爾行此、使耶和華之敵得毀謗之由、故爾所生之子必死、

爾之作為若此、使逆耶和華之人愈生厭惡、故爾所得之子必死。

然爾之為此、使主之敵得毀謗之由、故爾所得之子必死、

But because by doing this you have shown utter contempt for the Lord, the son born to you will die.”

But you have dared to show great disrespect for the Lord. So the son who has been born to you will die.”

Nevertheless, because by this deed you have utterly scorned the Lord, the child who is born to you shall die.”

However, because you treated the LORD with such contempt in this matter, the son born to you will die.”

However, since by this deed you have shown utter disrespect for the Lord, the child himself who is born to you shall certainly die.”

However, because by this deed you have given great occasion to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme, the child also who is born to you shall surely die.”

Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given great occasion to the enemies of Jehovah to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die.

However, because you treated the Lord with such contempt in this matter, the son born to you will die.”

耶和華說：「我這裡還有什麼呢？我的子民白白地被擄去，轄制他們的人咆哮大叫，我的名整天被褻瀆。

正如聖經上說：「因你們的緣故，上帝的名在外族人中受到褻瀆！」

他們無論分散到何處，都使我的聖名受到褻瀆，因為外族人都談論他們說，『這些人是耶和華的子民，卻不得不離開耶和華的土地。』我顧惜我的聖名，就是以色列人在所去的列國褻瀆的聖名。「因此，你要告訴以色列人，主耶和華這樣說，『以色列人啊，我要行這事並非因為你們的緣故，而是因為我聖名的緣故，就是你們在所去列國褻瀆的聖名。我要使我偉大的名，就是你們在列國中所褻瀆的名，彰顯它的聖潔。我要當著列國的面在你們身上彰顯我的聖潔，那時他們就知道我是耶和華。這是主耶和華說的。

這世界有禍了！因為裡面充滿了引人犯罪的事。這樣的事是免不了的，但那些引人犯罪的人有禍了！

耶和華啊，蒙你管教並用律法訓誨的人有福了！

孩子啊，不可輕視耶和華的管教，也不可厭煩祂的責備。因為耶和華責備祂所愛的人，就像父親責備他所疼愛的孩子。

主審判我們，是對我們的管教，免得我們和世人一同被定罪。

我繼續說：「你們的所作所為實在不對。難道你們不應該敬畏上帝，以免我們的仇敵凌辱我們嗎？

上帝啊，仇敵嘲笑你的名要到何時呢？他們要永無休止地辱罵你嗎？

『世上萬族之中，我只揀選了你們，所以我要因你們的罪惡而懲罰你們。』」

凡我所愛的，我都會責備、管教。因此，你要熱心起來，也要悔改。

觸犯我的律例，不守我的誡命，我就會因他們的罪用杖懲罰他們，用鞭子責打他們。但我不會收回我的慈愛，也不會背棄我的信實。

因為主管教祂所愛的人，責罰祂收納的兒子。」
