爾隱行是惡、我將於以色列族前顯以報爾。

You did it in secret, but I will do this thing in broad daylight before all Israel.’”

You committed your sins in secret. But I will make sure that the man commits his sin in the middle of the day. Everyone in Israel will see it.’ ”

於是他們為押沙龍在屋頂上支搭帳棚，押沙龍就在以色列眾人眼前，與他父親的妃嬪親近。

這時，有幾萬人聚集，甚至彼此踐踏。耶穌就先對門徒說：「你們要防備法利賽人的酵，就是假冒為善。掩蓋的事沒有不顯露出來的，隱藏的事也沒有不被人知道的。

因為人所做的事，連一切隱藏的事，無論是善是惡，上帝都必審問。

大衛派使者去把婦人接來；她來到大衛那裏，那時她的月經剛潔淨，大衛與她同寢。她就回家去了。那婦人懷了孕，派人去告訴大衛說：「我懷孕了。」大衛派人告訴約押：「你派赫人烏利亞到我這裏來。」約押就派烏利亞到大衛那裏。烏利亞來到大衛那裏，大衛問約押好，也問士兵好，又問戰爭的情況。大衛對烏利亞說：「下到你家去，洗洗腳吧！」烏利亞出了王宮，隨後王送他一份禮物。烏利亞卻和他主人所有的僕人一同睡在王宮門口，沒有下到他家去。有人告訴大衛說：「烏利亞沒有下到他的家。」大衛就對烏利亞說：「你不是從遠路上來嗎？為甚麼不下到你家去呢？」烏利亞對大衛說：「約櫃，以色列和猶大都留在棚裏，我主約押和我主的僕人都在田野安營，我豈可回家吃喝，與妻子同房呢？我指着王和王的性命起誓：『我絕不做這事！』」大衛對烏利亞說：「你今日仍留在這裏，明日我打發你去。」於是烏利亞那日留在耶路撒冷。次日，大衛召了烏利亞來，叫他在自己面前吃喝，使他喝醉。黃昏的時候，烏利亞出去，躺臥在自己的床上；與他主的僕人在一起，並沒有下到他的家去。早晨，大衛寫信給約押，交烏利亞親手帶去。他在信內寫着說：「要派烏利亞到戰爭激烈的前線去，然後你們撤退離開他，使他被擊殺而死。」

所以，時候未到，在主來以前甚麼都不要評斷，他要照出暗中的隱情，揭發人的動機。那時，各人要從上帝那裏得着稱讚。
