This is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you from inside your own household! Right before your eyes I will take your wives and hand them over to your companion. He will have sexual relations with your wives in broad daylight!

耶和华如此说：‘我必从你家中兴起祸患攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给别人，他在日光之下就与她们同寝。

耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。

耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。

耶和华说，‘我要在你家中降下灾祸，我要当着你的面把你的妻妾交给你的近臣，他必在光天化日之下与她们行淫。

「耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從你家裡興起災禍攻擊你。我將在你眼前把你的妃嬪奪去，交給在你身邊的人，他會在日光之下、在你眼前與你的妃嬪同睡。

耶和華又曰、我必肇禍於爾家、加諸爾身、以爾妻室付於他人、為爾目擊、彼於日光之下、與之同寢、

耶和華又云、我必使惡人生於爾家、爾之骨肉奪爾嬪妃、白晝宣淫、為爾目擊。

主又如是云、我必於爾家、使起一人以禍爾、原文作我必於爾家起禍加諸爾我必聽其白晝之間、白晝之間原文作日前玷爾嬪妃、為爾目睹、

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

“ The Lord also says,‘ I am going to bring trouble on you. It will come from your own family. I will take your wives away. Your own eyes will see it. I will give your wives to a man who is close to you. He will sleep with them in the middle of the day.

Thus says the Lord,‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

“ This is what the Lord says: Because of what you have done, I will cause your own household to rebel against you. I will give your wives to another man before your very eyes, and he will go to bed with them in public view.

“ This is what the LORD says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them in broad daylight.

This is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house; and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

“ This is what the Lord says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them publicly.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give[ them] unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

“ This is what Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

You will be engaged to a woman and another man will rape her. You will build a house but not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but not even begin to use it.

Ahithophel replied to Absalom,“ Have sex with your father’s concubines whom he left to care for the palace. All Israel will hear that you have made yourself repulsive to your father. Then your followers will be motivated to support you.”So they pitched a tent for Absalom on the roof, and Absalom had sex with his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

Absalom instructed his servants,“ Look! When Amnon is drunk and I say to you,‘ Strike Amnon down,’ kill him then and there. Don’t fear! Is it not I who have given you these instructions? Be strong and courageous!”So Absalom’s servants did to Amnon exactly what Absalom had instructed. Then all the king’s sons got up; each one rode away on his mule and fled.

Absalom acted this way toward everyone in Israel who came to the king for justice. In this way Absalom won the loyalty of the citizens of Israel.

Then Absalom sent spies through all the tribes of Israel who said,“ When you hear the sound of the horn, you may assume that Absalom rules in Hebron.”

Now David’s son Absalom had a beautiful sister named Tamar. In the course of time David’s son Amnon fell madly in love with her.But Amnon became frustrated because he was so lovesick over his sister Tamar. For she was a virgin, and to Amnon it seemed out of the question to do anything to her.Now Amnon had a friend named Jonadab, the son of David’s brother Shimeah. Jonadab was a very crafty man.He asked Amnon,“ Why are you, the king’s son, so depressed every morning? Can’t you tell me?” So Amnon said to him,“ I’m in love with Tamar the sister of my brother Absalom.”Jonadab replied to him,“ Lie down on your bed and pretend to be sick. When your father comes in to see you, say to him,‘ Please let my sister Tamar come in so she can fix some food for me. Let her prepare the food in my sight so I can watch. Then I will eat from her hand.’”So Amnon lay down and pretended to be sick. When the king came in to see him, Amnon said to the king,“ Please let my sister Tamar come in so she can make a couple of cakes in my sight. Then I will eat from her hand.”So David sent Tamar to the house saying,“ Please go to the house of Amnon your brother and prepare some food for him.”So Tamar went to the house of Amnon her brother, who was lying down. She took the dough, kneaded it, made some cakes while he watched, and baked them.But when she took the pan and set it before him, he refused to eat. Instead Amnon said,“ Get everyone out of here!” So everyone left.Then Amnon said to Tamar,“ Bring the cakes into the bedroom; then I will eat from your hand.” So Tamar took the cakes that she had prepared and brought them to her brother Amnon in the bedroom.As she brought them to him to eat, he grabbed her and said to her,“ Come on! Get in bed with me, my sister!”But she said to him,“ No, my brother! Don’t humiliate me! This just isn’t done in Israel! Don’t do this foolish thing!How could I ever be rid of my humiliation? And you would be considered one of the fools in Israel! Just speak to the king, for he will not withhold me from you.”But he refused to listen to her. He overpowered her and humiliated her by raping her.

I also gave them decrees which were not good and regulations by which they could not live.I declared them to be defiled because of their sacrifices– they caused all their first born to pass through the fire– so that I would devastate them, so that they will know that I am the LORD.’

They sacrifice on the mountaintops, and burn offerings on the hills; they sacrifice under oak, poplar, and terebinth, because their shade is so pleasant. As a result, your daughters have become cult prostitutes, and your daughters-in-law commit adultery!I will not punish your daughters when they commit prostitution, nor your daughters- in- law when they commit adultery. For the men consort with harlots, they sacrifice with temple prostitutes. It is true:“ A people that lacks understanding will come to ruin!”

“‘ As for the prophet, if he is made a fool by being deceived into speaking a prophetic word– I, the LORD, have made a fool of that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand against him and destroy him from among my people Israel.
