「耶和華如此說：『看哪，我必從你家裡興起災禍攻擊你。我將在你眼前把你的妃嬪奪去，交給在你身邊的人，他會在日光之下、在你眼前與你的妃嬪同睡。

耶和华如此说：‘我必从你家中兴起祸患攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给别人，他在日光之下就与她们同寝。

耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。

耶和华如此说：‘看哪，我必从你家中兴起灾祸攻击你；我必在你眼前把你的妃嫔赐给你身边的人，他要在光天化日下与你的妃嫔同寝。

耶和华说，‘我要在你家中降下灾祸，我要当着你的面把你的妻妾交给你的近臣，他必在光天化日之下与她们行淫。

永恆主這麼說：「看吧，我必從你家中興起禍患來攻擊你；我必將你的妃嬪在你眼前賜給你的鄰舍；他必在這日光的鑒察下就和你的妃嬪同寢。

耶和華又曰、我必肇禍於爾家、加諸爾身、以爾妻室付於他人、為爾目擊、彼於日光之下、與之同寢、

耶和華又云、我必使惡人生於爾家、爾之骨肉奪爾嬪妃、白晝宣淫、為爾目擊。

主又如是云、我必於爾家、使起一人以禍爾、原文作我必於爾家起禍加諸爾我必聽其白晝之間、白晝之間原文作日前玷爾嬪妃、為爾目睹、

“ This is what the Lord says:‘ Out of your own household I am going to bring calamity on you. Before your very eyes I will take your wives and give them to one who is close to you, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

“ The Lord also says,‘ I am going to bring trouble on you. It will come from your own family. I will take your wives away. Your own eyes will see it. I will give your wives to a man who is close to you. He will sleep with them in the middle of the day.

Thus says the Lord,‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house. And I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

“ This is what the Lord says: Because of what you have done, I will cause your own household to rebel against you. I will give your wives to another man before your very eyes, and he will go to bed with them in public view.

“ This is what the LORD says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them in broad daylight.

This is what the Lord says:‘ Behold, I am going to raise up evil against you from your own household; I will even take your wives before your eyes and give them to your companion, and he will sleep with your wives in broad daylight.

Thus says the Lord:‘ Behold, I will raise up adversity against you from your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes and give them to your neighbor, and he shall lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

Thus saith Jehovah, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house; and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbor, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

“ This is what the Lord says,‘ I am going to bring disaster on you from your own family: I will take your wives and give them to another before your very eyes, and he will sleep with them publicly.

Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give[ them] unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.

This is what the LORD says:‘ I am about to bring disaster on you from inside your own household! Right before your eyes I will take your wives and hand them over to your companion. He will have sexual relations with your wives in broad daylight!

“ This is what Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will raise up evil against you out of your own house; and I will take your wives before your eyes, and give them to your neighbor, and he will lie with your wives in the sight of this sun.

亞希多弗對押沙龍說：「你去與你父親所留下看守宮殿的妃嬪們同房，這樣全以色列都會聽到你被你父親憎惡，所有隨同你的人就更加堅強。」於是他們為押沙龍在屋頂上支搭了一座帳篷，押沙龍就在以色列公眾眼前與他父親的妃嬪們同房。

押沙龍吩咐他的僕人們說：「你們要注意！當暗嫩喝酒暢快的時候，我對你們說：『擊殺暗嫩！』你們就把他殺了。不要害怕！這不是我吩咐你們的嗎？你們要堅強，作英勇的人！」押沙龍的僕人們就照他所吩咐的向暗嫩行了。王子們都起來，各人騎上騾子逃跑了。

押沙龍如此對待所有來見王求裁決的以色列人，這樣押沙龍暗中奪走了以色列人的心。

押沙龍派遣探子到以色列所有的支派中，說：「你們一聽見號角聲，就要說：『押沙龍在希伯崙作王了！』」

此後發生了一件事：大衛的兒子押沙龍有一個美麗的妹妹，名叫塔瑪爾，大衛的兒子暗嫩愛上了她。暗嫩因妹妹塔瑪爾的緣故憂悶成疾，因為她是個處女，在暗嫩看來很難對她做什麼。暗嫩有一個朋友，名叫約拿達，是大衛的哥哥示米亞的兒子。約拿達是一個非常精明的人。他對暗嫩說：「王子啊，你為什麼天天都這樣憔悴呢？你不能告訴我嗎？」暗嫩對他說：「我愛上了我弟弟押沙龍的妹妹塔瑪爾。」約拿達對他說：「你躺在床上裝病。你父親來看你，你就對他說：『請讓我的妹妹塔瑪爾來，給我東西吃。讓她在我眼前準備吃的，讓我可以看見，並且從她的手中吃。』」於是暗嫩躺著裝病。王來看他，暗嫩就對王說：「請讓我妹妹塔瑪爾來，在我眼前做兩個餅，我好從她手中吃。」大衛就派人到宮裡對塔瑪爾說：「請你去你哥哥暗嫩的家，給他做點吃的。」於是塔瑪爾去了她哥哥暗嫩的家，暗嫩正躺著。她取了麵團揉好，在暗嫩眼前做餅，把餅做熟了。塔瑪爾拿起鍋，在他面前倒出餅，他卻不肯吃。暗嫩說：「所有人離開我出去！」所有的人就離開他出去了。暗嫩對塔瑪爾說：「把吃的帶到臥室來，我好從你手中吃。」塔瑪爾就拿了做好的餅，帶到她哥哥暗嫩的臥室，上前來給他吃。他卻抓住塔瑪爾，對她說：「我的妹妹，來與我同睡吧！」塔瑪爾對他說：「不，哥哥，不要玷辱我！在以色列絕不可做這樣的事，你不要做這醜惡的事。不然，我到哪裡除去我的羞辱呢？而你也會在以色列中成為一個愚昧人！現在你去向王提說，他絕不會阻止我歸你的。」但暗嫩不肯聽她的話，因比她力大，就玷辱了她，與她同睡。
