你為什麼蔑視我的命令，做出我視為可憎的事呢？你藉亞捫人的刀殺了赫人烏利亞，把他的妻子據為己有。

敵人出來迎戰，大衛的軍中有幾位陣亡，赫人烏利亞也死了。

掃羅說：「你們去告訴大衛，就說王只需要一百個非利士人的包皮作聘禮，好向他的敵人報仇。」掃羅想讓大衛死在非利士人的手上。

你們要歌頌耶和華！要讚美耶和華！因為祂從惡人手中救出窮人。

掃羅對大衛說：「我要把大女兒米拉嫁給你，但你要英勇作戰，效忠於我，為耶和華爭戰。」掃羅心裡想：「我不要親自動手，我要藉非利士人的手殺他。」

他心裡想：「我把這個女兒給大衛，讓他中圈套，好藉非利士人的手殺掉他。」於是，他對大衛說：「你現在還有一次機會做我的女婿。」

我犯罪得罪了你，唯獨得罪了你，做了你看為邪惡的事，所以你對我的責備是正當的，你對我的審判是公正的。

拯救我的上帝啊，求你赦免我殺人流血的罪，使我頌揚你的公義。
