他问我：‘你是谁？’我回答他：‘我是亚玛力人。’

他問我說：『你是甚麼人？』我說：『我是亞瑪力人。』

他問我說：『你是甚麼人？』我說：『我是亞瑪力人。』

他問我說：『你是甚麼人？』我說：『我是亞瑪力人。』

他問我是什麼人。我告訴他我是亞瑪力人。

他問我：‘你是誰？’我回答他：‘我是亞瑪力人。’

他問我說：『你是誰？』我對他說：『我是亞瑪力人。』

他問我：『你是誰？』我回答他：『我是亞瑪力人。』

曰、爾為誰、曰、亞瑪力人也、

彼曰、汝為誰。我曰、亞馬力人。

“ He asked me,‘ Who are you?’“‘ An Amalekite,’ I answered.

And he said to me,‘ Who are you?’ I answered him,‘ I am an Amalekite.’

“ He responded,‘ Who are you?’“‘ I am an Amalekite,’ I told him.

He asked me,‘ Who are you?’ I told him: I’m an Amalekite.

Then he said to me,‘ Who are you?’ And I answered him,‘ I am an Amalekite.’

And he said to me,‘ Who are you?’ So I answered him,‘ I am an Amalekite.’

And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I am an Amalekite.

He asked me,‘ Who are you?’ I told him: I’m an Amalekite.

And he said unto me, Who[ art] thou? And I answered him, I[ am] an Amalekite.

He asked me,‘ Who are you?’ I told him,‘ I’m an Amalekite.’

He said to me,‘ Who are you?’ I answered him,‘ I am an Amalekite.’

David fought them from dusk until the evening of the next day, and none of them got away, except four hundred young men who rode off on camels and fled.

David asked him,“ Who do you belong to? Where do you come from?” He said,“ I am an Egyptian, the slave of an Amalekite. My master abandoned me when I became ill three days ago.

Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

David and his men reached Ziklag on the third day. Now the Amalekites had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it,

Remember what the Amalekites did to you along the way when you came out of Egypt.When you were weary and worn out, they met you on your journey and attacked all who were lagging behind; they had no fear of God.When the Lord your God gives you rest from all the enemies around you in the land he is giving you to possess as an inheritance, you shall blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven. Do not forget!

Now David and his men went up and raided the Geshurites, the Girzites and the Amalekites.( From ancient times these peoples had lived in the land extending to Shur and Egypt.)

Then Balaam saw Amalek and spoke his message:“ Amalek was first among the nations, but their end will be utter destruction.”

Then they turned back and went to En Mishpat( that is, Kadesh), and they conquered the whole territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites who were living in Hazezon Tamar.

The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim.Moses said to Joshua,“ Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.”So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill.As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up— one on one side, one on the other— so that his hands remained steady till sunset.So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the name of Amalek from under heaven.”Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner.He said,“ Because hands were lifted up against the throne of the Lord, the Lord will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.”
