David said to him,“ How did things go? Please tell me.” And he said,“ The people have fled from the battle, and many of the people also have fallen and are dead; and Saul and his son Jonathan are also dead.”

大卫又问他说：“事情怎样？请你告诉我。”他回答说：“百姓从阵上逃跑，也有许多人仆倒死亡；扫罗和他儿子约拿单也死了。”

大卫又对他说：“事情怎么样？请你告诉我。”他说：“士兵从阵上逃跑，也有许多士兵仆倒死亡，扫罗和他儿子约拿单也死了。”

大卫又对他说：“事情怎么样？请你告诉我。”他说：“士兵从阵上逃跑，也有许多士兵仆倒死亡，扫罗和他儿子约拿单也死了。”

大卫说：“请告诉我那边的情况。”他说：“以色列军溃逃，伤亡惨重，扫罗和他儿子约拿单都死了！”

大卫又问他：“情况怎么样？请你告诉我！”他回答：“众人都逃离战场，他们中间不但有许多人倒地阵亡，连扫罗和他的儿子约拿单也死了。”

“ What happened?” David asked.“ Tell me.”“ The men fled from the battle,” he replied.“ Many of them fell and died. And Saul and his son Jonathan are dead.”

“ What happened?” David asked.“ Tell me.” He said,“ Israel’s men ran away from the battle. Many of them were killed. Saul and his son Jonathan are dead.”

And David said to him,“ How did it go? Tell me.” And he answered,“ The people fled from the battle, and also many of the people have fallen and are dead, and Saul and his son Jonathan are also dead.”

“ What happened?” David demanded.“ Tell me how the battle went.” The man replied,“ Our entire army fled from the battle. Many of the men are dead, and Saul and his son Jonathan are also dead.”

“ What was the outcome? Tell me,” David asked him.“ The troops fled from the battle,” he answered.“ Many of the troops have fallen and are dead. Also, Saul and his son Jonathan are dead.”

Then David said to him,“ How did the matter go? Please tell me.” And he answered,“ The people have fled from the battle, many of the people are fallen and dead, and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.”

And David said unto him, How went the matter? I pray thee, tell me. And he answered, The people are fled from the battle, and many of the people also are fallen and dead; and Saul and Jonathan his son are dead also.

The man said to Eli,“ I am the one who came from the battle line. Indeed, I escaped from the battle line today.” And he said,“ How are things, my son?”

Now the Philistines were fighting against Israel, and the men of Israel fled from the Philistines but fell fatally wounded on Mount Gilboa.And the Philistines also overtook Saul and his sons, and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchi shua, the sons of Saul.The battle went heavily against Saul, and the archers found him; and he was gravely wounded by the archers.Then Saul said to his armor bearer,“ Draw your sword and pierce me through with it, otherwise these uncircumcised Philistines will come and pierce me through, and abuse me.” But his armor bearer was unwilling, because he was very fearful. So Saul took his sword and fell on it.When his armor bearer saw that Saul was dead, he also fell on his sword and died with him.So Saul died with his three sons, his armor bearer, and all his men on that day together.

Now the Philistines fought against Israel, and the men of Israel fled from the Philistines but fell fatally wounded on Mount Gilboa.And the Philistines also overtook Saul and his sons, and the Philistines killed Jonathan, Abinadab, and Malchi shua, the sons of Saul.The battle became severe against Saul, and the archers found him; and he was wounded by the archers.Then Saul said to his armor bearer,“ Draw your sword and thrust me through with it, otherwise these uncircumcised Philistines will come and abuse me.” But his armor bearer would not, for he was very afraid.
