以色列的女子啊！你们要为扫罗哭泣，他曾给你们穿上朱红色豪华的衣服，又给你们的外衣加上金饰。

“ Daughters of Israel, mourn over Saul. He dressed you in the finest clothes. He decorated your clothes with ornaments of gold.

“ You daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you luxuriously in scarlet, who put ornaments of gold on your apparel.

O women of Israel, weep for Saul, for he dressed you in luxurious scarlet clothing, in garments decorated with gold.

Daughters of Israel, weep for Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with luxurious things, who decked your garments with gold ornaments.

Daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, Who clothed you in scarlet, with jewelry, Who put gold jewelry on your apparel.

“ O daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, Who clothed you in scarlet, with luxury; Who put ornaments of gold on your apparel.

Daughters of Israel, weep for Saul, who clothed you in scarlet, with luxurious things, who decked your garments with gold ornaments.

O daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you in scarlet as well as jewelry, who put gold jewelry on your clothes.

You daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who clothed you delicately in scarlet, who put ornaments of gold on your clothing.

Have they not found, have they not divided the spoil? A damsel, two damsels to every man; To Sisera a spoil of dyed garments, A spoil of dyed garments embroidered, Of dyed garments embroidered on both sides, on the necks of the spoil?

Can a virgin forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

In like manner, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefastness and sobriety; not with braided hair, and gold or pearls or costly raiment;but( which becometh women professing godliness) through good works.

Kings of armies flee, they flee; And she that tarrieth at home divideth the spoil.

Moreover Jehovah said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and wanton eyes, walking and mincing as they go, and making a tinkling with their feet;therefore the Lord will smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and Jehovah will lay bare their secret parts.In that day the Lord will take away the beauty of their anklets, and the cauls, and the crescents;the pendants, and the bracelets, and the mufflers;the headtires, and the ankle chains, and the sashes, and the perfume- boxes, and the amulets;the rings, and the nose- jewels;the festival robes, and the mantles, and the shawls, and the satchels;the hand- mirrors, and the fine linen, and the turbans, and the veils.And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet spices there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle, a rope; and instead of well set hair, baldness; and instead of a robe, a girding of sackcloth; branding instead of beauty.Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the war.And her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall be desolate and sit upon the ground.

Whose adorning let it not be the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on apparel;but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in the incorruptible apparel of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.For after this manner aforetime the holy women also, who hoped in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands:

She is not afraid of the snow for her household; For all her household are clothed with scarlet.
