非利士人攻以色列族。以色列族遁在吉破山、見殺者眾。

設席宴享、爰遣邏卒巡更、呼曰、群伯速興、備爾干戈、

撒母耳取膏一盒、以沃掃羅、接吻而告之、曰、耶和華膏爾、以為民長。

不治不修、變為荒蕪、荊棘叢生、使天不雨。

望我回厥志、畀以純嘏、則爾得以禮物灌奠、獻我於耶和華。

禮物灌奠、不獻於耶和華殿、維彼祭司、在耶和華前、供其役事者、不勝號泣。

非利士人攻以色列族、以色列族敗北、亡於吉破山。

明日非利士人剝尸、見掃羅及其子、死於吉破山、

我生之辰、不如無此辰、我生之夜、不如無此夜。孰若是日晦冥為愈、孰若上帝不降以福、勿燭以光。何如幽暗陰翳蔽之、靉靆覆之、日蝕譴之、何如是日之夕、慘淡昏黑、不入年期、不進月數。何如是夕不誕嬰孩、不聞懽聲。凡能詛日、持咒招鱷者、當以是日為不吉。何如是日昧爽、明星不現、待旦不得、天無曙色。是日母氏育我、致遭艱苦、毋寧墮胎而死、即不然、誕而身死氣絕。

米羅斯民不從有能者、以助耶和華、故耶和華之使者曰、必詛米羅斯、詈以厲詞。

我生之辰、不祥孰甚、我母產予、其時勿吉。人告我父、已得男子、使父忻喜、予願是人所遭不幸。譬彼古邑、耶和華滅之、始息其怒、清晨則聞呼號、亭午則聞諠譁、

主耶和華曰、我使柏香木枯萎、是日也、深淵源泉、為之立涸、以示悲哀、利巴嫩之木枯槁、以發憂恨。
