掃羅素為英武、在吉破山遺棄其干、雖沐以膏、無異凡民、故願在彼、露不零、雨不降、亦願在彼田無所產、祭品不獻。

“ You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fields of offerings! For there the shield of the mighty was defiled, the shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.

O mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fruitful fields producing offerings of grain. For there the shield of the mighty heroes was defiled; the shield of Saul will no longer be anointed with oil.

非利士人與以色列人爭戰。以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波有被殺仆倒的。

他們擺設筵席，派人守望，又吃又喝。首領啊，你們起來，用油抹盾牌。

撒母耳拿瓶膏油倒在掃羅的頭上，與他親嘴，說：「這不是耶和華膏你作他產業的君嗎？

我必使它荒廢，不再修理，不再鋤刨，荊棘蒺藜倒要生長。我也必命雲不降雨在其上。

或者他轉意後悔，留下餘福，就是留下獻給耶和華－你們神的素祭和奠祭，也未可知。

素祭和奠祭從耶和華的殿中斷絕；事奉耶和華的祭司都悲哀。

非利士人與以色列人爭戰，以色列人在非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山有被殺仆倒的。

次日，非利士人來剝那被殺之人的衣服，看見掃羅和他兒子仆倒在基利波山，

願我生的那日和說懷了男胎的那夜都滅沒。願那日變為黑暗；願神不從上面尋找它；願亮光不照於其上。願黑暗和死蔭索取那日；願密雲停在其上；願日蝕恐嚇它。願那夜被幽暗奪取，不在年中的日子同樂，也不入月中的數目。願那夜沒有生育，其間也沒有歡樂的聲音。願那咒詛日子且能惹動鱷魚的咒詛那夜。願那夜黎明的星宿變為黑暗，盼亮卻不亮，也不見早晨的光線；因沒有把懷我胎的門關閉，也沒有將患難對我的眼隱藏。

耶和華的使者說：應當咒詛米羅斯，大大咒詛其中的居民；因為他們不來幫助耶和華，不來幫助耶和華攻擊勇士。

願我生的那日受咒詛；願我母親產我的那日不蒙福！給我父親報信說「你得了兒子」，使我父親甚歡喜的，願那人受咒詛。願那人像耶和華所傾覆而不後悔的城邑；願他早晨聽見哀聲，晌午聽見吶喊；

主耶和華如此說：「它下陰間的那日，我便使人悲哀。我為它遮蓋深淵，使江河凝結，大水停流；我也使黎巴嫩為它悽慘，田野的諸樹都因它發昏。
