“ You mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fields of offerings! For there the shield of the mighty was defiled, the shield of Saul, not anointed with oil.

O mountains of Gilboa, let there be no dew or rain upon you, nor fruitful fields producing offerings of grain. For there the shield of the mighty heroes was defiled; the shield of Saul will no longer be anointed with oil.

非利士人与以色列人交战。以色列人从非利士人面前逃跑，有很多人在基利波山上倒毙。

他们摆设筵席，铺张地毡，又吃又喝。领袖们，起来吧！用油抹净盾牌。

撒母耳拿了一瓶膏油，倒在扫罗的头上，又与他亲吻，说：“耶和华不是已经膏立你作他产业的领袖吗？

我要使它荒废，不再修剪，也不再耕耘，荆棘和蒺藜却要长起来；我也要吩咐云不再降雨在园子上。

有谁知道或许他会转意，并且施慈爱，留下余福，就是留下献给耶和华你们的神的素祭和奠祭。

素祭和奠祭都从耶和华的殿里断绝了，事奉耶和华的祭司也都悲哀。

非利士人攻打以色列人；以色列人从非利士人面前逃跑，在基利波山上阵亡的人很多。

第二天，非利士人来剥那些被杀的人的衣物的时候，发现扫罗和他的儿子都倒毙在基利波山上。

“愿我生的那日泯灭，人说怀男胎的那夜灭没。愿那日变成黑暗，愿神不从上面眷顾，愿光明不照耀在其上。愿黑暗与死荫索讨那日，愿密云停留在上面，愿白天的昏黑惊吓它。愿那夜被幽暗夺去，不让它连在平日之中，列入月数之内。愿那夜没有生育，也没有欢乐的声音。那些咒诅日子、善于惹动海怪的，愿他们咒诅那夜。愿那夜黎明的星星变成黑暗，愿那夜等候发光却不亮，见不到清晨的曙光。因为那夜没有把我母胎的门关闭，也没有把苦难隐藏，使我看不见。

耶和华的使者说：‘你们要咒诅米罗斯，大大咒诅其中的居民；因为他们不来帮助耶和华，不带领勇士帮助耶和华。’

愿我生的那一天受咒诅！愿我母亲生我的那一天不蒙祝福！那向我父亲报喜信：“你得了一个男孩”，叫我父亲十分高兴的，愿那人受咒诅！愿那人像耶和华所倾覆而不顾惜的城市，愿他早晨听见哀号，午间听见战争的吶喊。

“‘主耶和华这样说：它下阴间的日子，我就因它以悲哀遮盖深渊，阻塞深渊的江河，使大水停流；我要使黎巴嫩为它悲伤、田野所有的树木都因它枯干。
